CPU: AMD FX8320 @ 4.1ghz
RAM: 8GB Crucial Ballistix DDR3/1866
GPU: Gigabyte GTX 760 Windforce
Mobo: Asrock 980DE3/U3S3
Storage: 240GB OCZ Agility4 + 2TB WD Caviar Green

My system kind of grows over the years as parts need to be replaced, whether because they died or they're bottlenecking the system. I've done a decent amount of video editing/compression and batch file compression stuff lately so the 8 cores have been great.

I have a crappy desktop replacement laptop from 2011 with an AMD A8-3500 Quad-Core running at 1.5 Ghz (2.4 Ghz for gaming), a Radeon 6740G2, 8 GB of RAM, 750 GB HD and its one cool feature, a Blu-Ray player. Still can run a few 2014 releases well despite its ancient innards. Most of my video gaming is done on my PS4 but I can play a lot more games on the laptop. Sadly, my laptop's screen died on me and now I use it as a desktop hooked to a monitor since the hard drive still works. I now use an iPad Mini on the go.

Due to  a severe lack of funds:

Oldish Desktop PC:

Intel core2quad Q9650 @ 3.0 Ghz (OC in winter @ 3.8 Ghz)

AMD HD6970 2GB

8 Gb Ram

256 GB SSD (main) + 300 GB WD velociraptor + 500 GB WD

Motherboard P5k3 Deluxe (14 X USB 2.0, 2 X USB 3.0, PCI-E 1.1, SATA II)

Blu Ray/HD DVD combo drive + DVD burner

Vista 64-bit

 22" monitor

Shit that is overkill. How much did that cost overall?

Nah, not overkill for what I do.

A little over $5000.

Oh come on I mean I like 4K porn running on a smooth 120Hz big screen LCD as much as the next guy but this is just absurd!!! Lol JK

- Phenom II 955BE @ 3.2GHz
- 16GB DDR3 1600mhz Corsair Vengeance
- 4 x 1TB WD Black Caviar
- MSI GTX650
- MoBo Gigabyte 990FXA-UD5
- PSU: Corsair 650w (yes, I know it's too much, but I will upgrade the PC and it will be nice after)

All fitting in a Coolermaster HAF-912 plus and using an APC no-break (I use another one for PS4/3 + TV). Next year I will replace my 650 with a GTX 970 (MSI or Gigabyte, probably the first in the Twin-frozr model) and put a FX-8370 in there too.

My 4K rig

EVGA x99 classified

I7-5960x@4.5GHz

GTX 780ti Tri SLI(tried Quad but was slower than Tri,nice going NV.)

16GB DDR4@3000MHz

right now I'm waiting for a 8GB card to be released, since those 780ti suffer from lack of memory with current games at 4K

also had a 5760x2160 rig ,but had to sell it because of lack of use.
