I know right? How can you believe that some people would actually have fun playing those games? Gross!

Looking at user scores all over the internet I doubt many people older than 16 are having fun. Granted, the majority might still be happy. Lol... :p

You think user scores on the internet are representative of the general buyer? Especially for huge games like those we are discussing?

You might want to look up selection bias.

Yeah, I'm sure the kids are having fun with their annual games. I've yet to see an irl friend talk about how good AC: Unity was. Yet they still bought it and will buy next year's crap as well. The definition of insanity I say... I hear my friends complain all the time about Cod and Assasins Creed yet they still buy it. I don't understand why, but that's the way it is. When I mention Metroid around them they act like I'm from a different planet. When I mention it's made by Nintendo they already dismiss it as a kiddy game without knowing what's it about. Sales say little about quality.

Might also want to read about confirmation bias while you're at it.

I never said sales = quality, but you pretty much said that nobody liked those top games (Destiny, WD etc.)...

No, I said the little kids liked it. And having listened to a lot of online voice chats of CoD, there's a hell of a lot of little kids playing those games.

I thought some of the most awful games were good as a kid. Doesn't say much about quality. Granted, I'd really like to see a statistic of the demographic of these "mature" games, but I doubt the average age is high lol.

So your overall point is...?

You're going all over the place

That an adult can't see past the technical mess of AC: Unity, or the repetitiveness of CoD. A kid can.

I actually don't think WD is all that bad, not as bad as AC: Unity and CoD anyway. At least it tried something new and wasn't anywhere near as broken as AC: Unity.

Wait didn't you say kids liked those games?

That's what the bolded sentence is still saying lol. I wouldn't put a specific age as the division between child and adult though (like the law does). Mental age is different from person to person.

This is most funny to me. Especially considering all the glowing feedback Advanced Warfare has gotten. Not broken at all.

Gamespot:

Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze --> 60/10 repetitive, bland levels

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare --> 80/10 "Great"

Please don't give me the BS of "glowing feedback" CoD gets. Activision obviously bought off every single major review site. They do this shit all the time and it pisses me off. I'm more inclined to trust internet trolls over "professional" game critics these days.

Assasins Creed, CoD and Pokémon are the 3 most overrated franchises in the game industry. These games barely evolve yet they get an 80%+ metacritic score almost every single time.

Can you honestly sit through this review without cringing at everything he says?

I never said CoD was broken. I said the game was repetitive, meaning it's the same old game every single year with minor changes (often superficial changes).

Can we get back on topic please? I do not know what the above conversation has to do with the top Google searches of the year or why this is in gaming discussion...

Edit: With that, it's been moved to general.

Wow. The only time anybody ever acknowledged Solange more than her sister is because she beat up her sisters husband in an elevator. That's hilarious.

I don't even know who that is.

Beyonce's sister who only got slightly famous this year because she beat up Jay-Z in an elevator...

I remember a story like that. Guess that proves how forgetable this girl is.
