no proof it was north korea

Because NK isn't happy with Sony publishing "The Interview" in theatres.
The Lizard Squad's methods lacked sophistication. They were amateurs. With the North Koreans, you can't be so certain. They could only be as good as Lizard Squard, but they may have some truly top military-grade hackers in their midst as well.
US Federal Authorities have already been assisting Sony in recovering from the other hacks. Not necessarily sure how Finest Squad could really be of help if damages could be so extensive that you need the feds involved.
I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

One reason I think so is because of the press releases by Sony and the FBI. It doesn't make sense to actually point at NK...much better to keep it quiet and point somewhere else. It's almost always better to play along than it is to show your cards. |
Whoever is doing this there is no justification for the hacks and no justification for any support of this ever no matter whom it happens to.

Regardless if it was to begin with, they now happen to know Sony's an easy target. They'd have the motivation and the means to execute other hacks on Sony.

Sony should utilize idle resources from everyone using the SEN network and use them to assist in preventing hacks, targeting systems that are carrying them out, etc.. I'd let them use my hardware for it. Community assisted defense nets, sorta like protein folding.
I guess you'd have to make it a voluntary app like the SETI@Home, or Protein folding etc... otherwise people would get pissed off.
I sure hope not. I'd think it would be a DDOS at the worst though.

Great article how the 2011 breach was actually worse then told and that there was massive leakings in 2013..
Russian hackers spend two years in psn, stealing everything..
Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)
