Not sure if this idea has been asked before here.

But I think Nintendo and Gamefreak should combine all Pokemon gens in one game. Whether this game would be on the Wii U or 3DS. It would not matter to me. If MS can put 4 Halos on one game, then I think all pokemons should be done. It would be ridiculous value and tons of playtime. Not only that but you can catch them all from their respective games, to truly complete the collection.

Maybe some extra ui to keep track of everything. I think it would be best on Wii U, but Gamefreak might not want to mess with home consoles. Maybe 3DS can handle all the generations.

Edit: But yeah, could be a big seller for Wii U. 3DS will probably get a remake in the next 3 years.

2016 is the 20th anniversary of Pokémon.

Nintendo hasn't done this but fans have tried in the past. Sadly no homemade effort has gone all the way before the cease and desist letters start rolling in. I will say that there's a uhm... "Special" version of one of the newer games that let's you capture all Pokemon in game including legendary

Game Freak might release something special in 2016, but I don't see a game with all regions combined. That is a card Nintendo is keeping in case that their handheld business is in danger.

They don't have the manpower.

I can't find the interview right now but they respectfully and ''corporatively'' said that it will never happen since it would defeat the purpose of pokemon or something like that, it had to do with how pokemon games complement each other and how you're supposed to trade and interact with other trainers to catch them all but as time changes who knows, wont happen anytime soon (as in in the next 10 years)

In Heartgold and Soulsilver, the Johto league levels capped at 50, even though they usually start above 50 in other games, because they needed to put into account the other region's level progression. The highest level IS 100

Now multiply that problem by 5.

Level 20 Pokemon Leagues confirmed.

You'd have to link the Japan Pokémon regions to Unova and Kalos.
