Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Is Nintendo crazy? Why is the X1 almost the same price as the Wii U this holiday?

Maybe if Nintendo removed the toypad we could get to see a very attractive price drop for the Wii U, but nope, gotta have dem gimmicks.

I'm now filled with determination.

329.99?

Why wont Nintendo drop the price yet?

As has been said, profit is the only thing that matters to Nintendo. Microsoft will be losing money for each harward sold (and maybe even alot per each). Nintendo will at least even it out if not make profit.

2012 called. It wants its post back.

Nintendo knows that they can make major profit off their games alone since that's all that the Wii U has. Their games have nothing to compete with so all game profit is theirs.

Profit > Userbase for them right now. Plus, they are saving a price drop for next year

If you are going by Black Friday deals, then why not use Wii U BF deals as well? Unless the Xbox One is that cheap otherwise?

What Wii U BF deals?  It is $299 everywhere.

$250 somewhere...I'll see where. I think it's Best Buy, I'll have to verify though. It's Skylanders+Smash Bros bundle for $250

There's an 8GB for $199 at Toys R Us

Like what everyone says "profit"

but, since my knowledge into this things are veryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy low, i cant same too much about it.

Pocky Lover Boy!

It's Ebay that has the $250 Smash Bros+Skylanders I think. I thought it was smash+N-Land, but maybe I'm wrong. Still verifying.

Cos Microsoft can afford to hemorrhage money from every orifice, but Nintendo can't.
MS are pushing for userbase expansion, Nintendo are pushing for profit.

agree with u, except they can if they want but choose on pushing for profit
