Would you rather have Nintendo chansing already lost demographic that is on martphones and tablets? Competing for a core gamer is the only option they have left, you cant hit innovative casual hot buttion every generation.

Wii U's concept was a good idea, the execution was terrible're

You have to at least put some sort of sarcastic snark if you're gonna avoid my point like this. You're not even trying, put some effort into it!

Nintendo have to lower the price asap, that's what the normal Joe cares about.

Wait but the price is already the lowest so how will that help? If it is the cheapest and still can't win then IMO it just means most people are not interested in it...

The absence of evidence is NOT the evidence of absence...

I wonder if GTAV X1 can beat Smash next week to symbolize MS's victory over Nintendo

I think even with the pad the Wii U can still go lower then the current price, and if they brave enough they can set a bundled without the pad and just use the pro controler or the Wii  Nunchuk.

I know the pad is part of the consoles but until know a lot of title on Wii U can play the games without the pad , or even if they had the titles that use the pad they can just update the firmware so some option can enable the games function without the pad. That's just my opinion thou. or maybe they can gibe a crazy games bundle or make another exclusives games from third party like Bayoneta.

Someone forgot that Smash Bros comes out today. Lets see the sales in 2 weeks :)

Besides, the Xbox One price is temporary. Chances of the Xbox One keeping it's pace after the holidays at 400 is slim to none. Also that 350 dollar pricing is only in the US, not in Canada. So the only place it's actually selling is the US.

Congrats x1, it was an step climb.

USA numbers are overtracked and last 2 weeks seem excessively big and the gap over ps4 too step. But the total WW of both seems a lot closer to reality than before.

I hope it's PS3/360 all over again. Except this time, x1 ends up at top.

Much Contrast.

If your hope to make that scenario happen then Wii U should be on the top , but the reality now is Wii will be far below Xbox One and PS4 will dominate far from the Xbox One globally (neck to neck on US).

U never know. This generation is still young might see x1 at the top like we could see ps4 last

Only problem with that is that Xbox One is also outselling the Wii U in Europe, ya know, where it hasn't got the pricecut...

because the other problem isn't country exclusive pricing....okay.

I still dont see Xbox One keeping pace after the holiday. Gamers nowadays care about resolutions and frame rate so they are going to go with the platform they can get the eye candy on without buying a PC. To be honest, I think MS was embarassed to be behind Nintendo.  The other thing is we had so many large titles come out at once that people are flocking towards either PS4 or Xbox one, noticing the boost the PS4 got it's kind of obvious to see what happened
