Forums - Nintendo Discussion - My local Best Buy had a pretty awesome Amiibo/Nintendo display

I was surprised, usually their Nintendo section is abysmal compared to the Playstation/Xbox displays. They had an interactive video on a touchscreen display with a glass case underneath showcasing several Amiibos (Mario, Peach, Yoshi, Link, Pikachu, and I think one other).  I was impressed with the presentation overall.

The interactive video had a few options to delve into, I selected "explore" IIRC and I was able to select the various 1st Gen amiibos which would kick off a montage featuring that character and the games they've appeared in.

There were a couple travel cases displayed as well which had a large Amiibo logo emroidered on the front, and I when I zipped it open there was a grid of little slots to stick your figures.

I should've taken photos/videos but I was in a hurry.  Anyway, I am a bit encouraged by Nintendo's marketing push this holiday season.  Good on them.

That's good to hear, hopefully Nintendo have great holiday sales.

Activision has Skylanders.

Nintendo has Amiibos.

Disney has Infinity.

XXXXXfX has... what the hell are those? They sure look nice. You'll see in 2015.

YES! Nintendo needs more visibility!

Switch!!!

That's great to hear! My local GAME is almost all Minecraft Plush Toys/ PS/Xbox.

Surprisingly even the 3DS has a small shelf space that isn't very visible.
So hopefully next Friday when I go there I hope to see a change. Especially with Wii U and Amiibo.

Това.

My Toys R Us had a giant one 9'x 7'. They didnt have any stock of Shulk, Villager and Marth though.

Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

Hopefully, they sell. Maybe they should make a game that specifically uses Amiibo.
