I'm going to make a similar post to what I did in the "Sony Unfazed" thread regarding what we're seeing in the retail channel since the start of the month.

In short... The PS4 has once again overtaken the XB1 in sales on a weekly/daily basis... handily. I haven't had a chance to check if it has totally overcome the initial explosion of price-cut purchases, but it's certainly eating away at that buffer rather quickly.

Not only that, but the response to our BF ad has led to some interesting anecdotes. Getting an extra $20 off the XB1 deal doesn't seem to have elicited much interest beyond those that will already plan to be there, whereas we're getting questions about how early customers can line up for guaranteed placement for the PS4 bundles. I'll clarify that I fully expect both bundle offers to sell out that weekend, but from the disparity in interest/questions, it seems likely the overall velocity of those sales will be quite different.

We've also had a Sony rep in the store confirming some numbers with our management, in case we need to add additional stock for those sales. Sony doesn't seem to be brushing this off. (Interestingly, for those of you that are interested in this sort of thing, the fact that the GTA bundle comes with a physical copy of the game is actually a selling point for some customers.)

I don't really want to call the month one way or the other, but the people assuming that MS had this in the bag may want to reconsider.

Best Buy doesn't mean much in an Amazon thread. But I expect PS4 to sell better there and Xbox One to sell better where there are $30 and $50 gift cards.

Just posting this as evidence that PS4 is really ramping up, it's not just because of the scams

Was pretty much confirmed that the 3rd week of November would go to PS4 while the last week is a toss-up. I can believe getting in the top 10 for hourly, but going to #1 was definitely the scams. Plus why would that many people buy them seperately (PS4+GTAV) when they can wait a week and get the black friday bundle with TLOU added?

Because getting one then is not guaranteed and it's less comfortable. Why not spend slightly more in the comfort of your own home? I'd probably do that myself if I lived in America

That's why they'll be on all the sites. The $399 bundle is an internet bundle too right?

Edit: Looks like Walmart has another online bundle that's GTA V + PS4 + 2 free games for $449. Basically the same thing.

Em you just need one fake listing. That's enough, that thousands can place an order for that item and be counted in the chart.
Do u track Amazon charts regually? After a pricecut bump ends, it takes some time for the game to come down in the chart again.
So when the order, because of 100 bucks listings, stop right now, the chart need some hours to get back to normal.

U already can see this. Ps4 is back at #5 again and Xb1 up to #9
The fake listing got less and less the last hours and it was hard to find them in the pricelist to place an order (At least for me. I saw new at 89$ but can't proceed to the "sellers page")

But beside all this. There are still the regular buys form Amazon, that count, too.
