Release a better Console next time, like they did with 360.

In comparison to the 360 the power difference between the X1 and the PS4 is smaller when you consider how much potential power the PS3's Cell had over the tri core X360 processor. Not to mention there have been no hardware failures of the X1 again massively unlike the X360 launch systems failure rate. Rose tinted goggles on last gen start much?

Naah, 360 is a better piece of hardware, more balanced with a more powerful and sofisticated GPU, just forget about raw numbers on paper.

Most multiplatform games look and perform better on 360, and the best 360 exclusive games look as good as the best PS3 exclusive games.

The Cell into the PS3 has to help a lot the weaker RSX, this is why it is so powerful. All in all, the 360 has a better architecture.

So with that information, it appears it is still outselling PS4 to this moment. So the thread doesnt take into account that XBO sku rose while AC has pretty much maintained its position, while all other models are doing substantially well. INstead focusing on the drop of a sold out console and Call of Duty Bundle dropping below #10.

THough again, i will wait to see how other retailers reflect this (though reports of this is looking to be the case) but your intents of this thread is obvious.  I mean if youre saying XBO has failed yet its selling more than the PS4, where does that leave the PS4?  It just makes no sense to say that.  THough you have done an excellent job at what youre trying to do

Now to say XBO is going to outsell PS4 this holiday is an entirely different subject as this thread seems to be referencing Seece's thread which was based on the current date, not the entirety of all the holiday.

One thing that I don't see people mentioning is that the normal (kinect less) XBO sku have never actually topped the normal PS4 sku.
People are jumping in the bundles because of the deals and it's kinda easy to me to see that it's not going to last that long.
The PS4 is still proving to be the favorite console in Amazon.us even with the XBO price drop.

That's why I don't expect the XBO to actually beat the PS4 in November NPD, unless when the bundles start to decline (as some are already doing) the normal XBO sku can actually surpass the normal PS4 sku.

It's pretty obvious that the bundles boosted the XBO sales and that's good for MS, but they already declining after 3 days while Sony did the total amount of zero moves is not a good indicator to their monthly sales, to me the PS4 will still be ahead this month as it was the whole year.

But that's only me...

Why should the standard One be above ps4 when there are bundles at the exact same price? The stand alone being placed so high is actually quite a achivement.

I still see the PS4 is a better shape, MS did some great moves but I don't see the console itself being as relevant as their rival, aside for the great bundles it's having right now.

Well of course the PS4 is in better shape, its had a full year of record breaking numbers.  It would be foolish of anyone to say that would suddenly stop because XBO is doing better at the current moment.

By mid nov PS4 will be wining the ratings, by the 18th ill be a blood bath.

I think it would be a failure had MS not announced these bundles because who knows how much worse it would do... :S

I disagree with your general idea, for the simple fact that consumers aren't stupid, you have 3 skus going for 350$.. Would you buy the single standard console if you had the choice of getting free games? If the standard was 5/10 $ cheaper I could see your point, not this way.

of course, if the bundles go out of stock, that's another case, we would see the importance of the console itself. Hell, the standard already rose >10 position since the SO one gone out of stock.

Only if you are a stupid shopper, and with the standalone sku at #21 plenty of stupid shoppers to find.



Its libraries that sell systems not a single game.
