I want both.

If not both, then amazing new IPs.

Both?

If I just could choose between old and new I would prefer old IPs at the moment - like Metroid, WaveRace, ExciteTruck, Pilotwings, and F-Zero.

But actually everyone should say both. They just need much higher games output.
But when I see that they have not even closely as many workers as e.g. Ubisoft (according to wikipedia - Nintendo had about 5k in 2012, while ubisoft has got over ninethousaaaaaaaand in 2014) then I really can understand why the game-output is so "low" ... actually its pretty damn impressive for such a small company.

Sorry, i left the topic a bit... ;)

both. Stuff like splatoon is awesome to have, but i gotta have my main franchises as well. Also, if you showed me a 3d adventure game based on ice climbers, that would be both an old ip, but would be seen as a new franchise.

both, it is important for them to develop new IP, but it is also very important for them to keep refreshing their old IP

sry for my bad english - it is not my 1st language

I dont know whats wrong with having both, but if i must choose i prefer to see old IP's brought back. A Wii U Golden Sun, for example. That would be sweet.

Clearly they need to do both, while continuing to make games for their active IP.

Never mind that Nintendo would have to triple the size of their operation to accomplish this.

How about neither? :O
