I just wanted to apologize for what happened last night in this thread. I haven't deleted or modified any of my posts, so you can still see them for those curious, and learn from my mistakes (All my posts were quoted anyway, so deleting them wouldn't matter). I feel it's unethical for me to delete my posts for this reason.

I never intended to spark such hostility, and looking back, I know what I said was wrong. I guess a major factor was that I was kind of antsy and wasn't thinking too clearly, due to events that befell me earlier that day, which I posted about on my profile wall. I'm still recovering as I write this.

Being labeled as a "Wii fanboy in denial" is pretty much what caused me to ragequit at the time, again, my loss from yesterday made me somewhat easy to set off. Regardless, I chose not to argue with it at the time and only make things worse, and just logged out then and there so my stupidity didn't continue to spread, and of course, I was already having a bad day, and I didn't intend to spread it to others, and I'm really sorry that it did. So I'll try to explain now that things are hopefully settled down.

I wasn't denying the PS4's huge success, and I'm happy to see the PS4 doing so well! I just wanted to point out that (somewhat jokingly) the Wii could also be considered better-selling depending on what time frame is used, or whether we're using shipped vs sold numbers. I don't want to argue about that in here, I'm just explaining why I made the mistake I did. I know that this was an idiotic mistake on my part, and I justly received a flaming warning for it. I just shouldn't have said anything.

I'm not a Nintendo fanboy. In fact, if I'm a fanboy to any company, it's actually Sony. There are no less than 12 Sony products in my house, and I'm more likely to buy something simply if it has "Sony" written on it (I've just been satisfied with all their products. Also, "Sony written on it" is a kind of a metaphore, you know what I mean).

Again, I'm really sorry about what I said, and what happened. I just hope you guys don't think any less of me because of it. I've only been here less than a week (Another contributor to my naive mistkes perhaps) but I already love this community, and everyone here is awesome!

That's nice. Hopefully the people that created the hostility along with you have the balls to offer an apology.

Proud to be the first cool Nintendo fan ever

Number ONE Zelda fan in the Universe

Prediction: No Zelda HD for Wii U, quietly moved to the succesor

Predictions for Nintendo NX and Mobile

First, you didn't do nothing wrong... you have your opinion and it was cool based in VGC data that shows Wii over the shipments (basically it is useless).

Second, nobody called you "Wii fanbody"... even so fanboy for is a compliment, most guys here thinks it is a bad word I don't know why (I'm proud of myself to be a PS fanboy)... I called you Wii fan and that was not in a pejorative way.

Now about your main point there is nothing that support your claims... it is a valid theory but it ends there in the theory side... VGC number are so wrong that can't even be used to support this theory (it shows Wii sales > shipments).

The facts we have (and the only real/official numbers) are in graph form:

Wii closed the gap and have 99% of chance to be ahead in next quarter but for now PS4 never tracked below Wii. To you understand better I will break the two last quarters:

Q1
Wii 9,27m
PS4 10,2m

Q2
Wii 13.17m
PS4 13.5m

What you want us to believe is that Wii had a amazing July and August which it was ahead PS4 but sold nothing in September and PS4 outsold it again.

It is hard to believe that... it is almost utopic... sales follow trends... you don't 1 million in one month and 100k in the next one.

You will never prove your theory because there is no way to prove it... it is hardly a theory with have any fact to support it.

And to finish.

You don't need to apologies... you didn't do nothing wrong.

Hey that's very cool of you. Also nice of you to notice my awesomeness. Sorry about your cat.

We have pretty small number of active posters here. About 90-100 people, slighty more if you want to push the meaning of active. Of those, there are always 15-20 going at each others virtual throats. It can make anyone lose composure and sanity from time to time.

A mere apology doesn't even begin to atone for the despicable crime of being wrong on the internet. You would have been publicly permabanned on the spot if I were in charge around here.

Consider yourself lucky.

Takes a real man to be able to say they are sorry..... so you are definitely good in my books.

Now let me go look at that thread and see what to did in the first place so I can be pissed at you then forgive you since you have apologized. Can't let this apology of yours go to waste you know?

Did you bash Xbone? Because that's OK.

You don't need to apologize for voicing your opinion if it's your opinion. You just need to make sure that said opinion stays within the confines of the rules. And you went just a little (and I mean a little) over that line yesterday. It's easy enough for people to get lost in the moment; in those scenarios it's a good idea to take a step back and either just report the comment, send a mod a PM, or infact do nothing and drop the conversation right there. Noone will hate you for it, but if you attack someone thereafter, then maybe they will.

Aside from that, glad you're enjoying the site! The people here in general are indeed great, and I hope you'll be joining the ranks of some of the other great new members thus far this year too.

But, erm, let's not drag this thread into a continuation of the same argument please Etho (and others)!

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

No regrets.
