Forums - Sony Discussion - Is the WiiU or Xbox One A Bigger Threat To PS4? It looks Like Both Have Sold Around The Same Amount For The Year.

PS4 has nothing to worry about and also nobody is afraid of Nintendo.

I think by the end of 2014 Microsoft will have passed Nintendo and then both Sony and Microsoft will move on and never look back.

XB1 is more of a threat, but it's still not a threat (not ouside America anyway).

In the end it's gonna be a very spaced out gen

PS4 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> XB1 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>WiiU.

unlike past gens no two consoles will be close.

So Xbox has Halo and Forza in 2015?

I feel like I have seen this movie.

XB1 is more of a threat. I don't think Nintendo is going to come out with a new system anytime soon, maybe in 2017 but I'm thinking 2018 being more likely.

Microsoft just announced it's second "price-cut" in less than a month and has gained 1/2  day momentum and Nintendo is sitting back watching all this unfold with some blockbusters waiting to be released.

If I was Sony I would worry more about Nintendo. I don't think Microsoft has a system seller in 2015. I could be wrong. Halo holiday 2015? I would be more worried about a new console from Nintendo. You know it's coming. What does everyone think?

It has Halo.

The answer here is obvious, and that answer is Microsoft. Halo really is a system seller you know!

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Wii U is loosing all third party support and will fade away after Christmas next year if Nintedo don't do something drastical like releasing a Pokemon MMO.

PlayStation and xbox is fighting over the gamers so you could argue that they are the biggest threat.

Don't copy random editorials.

Honestly I think people put too much stock into Halo and I think people are setting themselves up for disappointment like with TiTanFall. Nintendo has casuals and young kids under wraps. Sure they aren't doing as well as they did with the Wii but the possibility is still there, especially with amiibos being released. If you don't think kids won't be nuts for those then you don't know kids.

My point. Xb1 could very well be a competitor. At this point tho you might as well be asking which is a better competitor with PC. As it stands now Ps4 is in it's own league and the only real battle now is between WiiU and Xb1 and if Xb1 gets complacent and doesn't step up in a big way, they will lose. Halo is not enough. Not even close. I have no doubt that they will step it up tho, but then I also think Nintendo will step it up too.
