The update 2.0 finally arrived and the gap (alredy favorable to PS4) in gaming OS features  in increasing. After a great launch with a more solid, roubust and fast OS the PS4 system growedin beaultiful way.

The core system, the heart or base, continue great showing that the initial feature better or not present in the closest rivial is yet there:

• Play Go / Intall System are amazing better... most games takes less than 1 minute to start to play while the others guys are yet facing 20, 30, 40, 60 minutes of boring waiting times.
• Patch System initially was bad when the game updates were cumulative and BF4 patch reached 4GB but today it is good... patch didn't get bigger than 1GB anymore (in most cases is way less than that like 200-300MB)... in the green side they faces 10, 12, 16, 20GB patches.
• OS Response is crazy fast... apps open in 1 second and shift between app and game is instantaneos... same for messages, friends, etc... it is amazingballs fast. Well the rivals yet have an OS that lags to open apps (4-5 seconds) and the navigations is really more well slow than PS4... even key apps like message and friend list takes some time to open.
• Share is just what sold PS4 at begin... it have issues at start but it was aways better than the rivals feature... you can even take screenshots (a super advanced feature that the green side counld't implement yet)
• Remote Play absolutelly works... it is a new way to play when you are not close to your PS4... you can play even in another city or state... it is amazing.

There are more core features better then the oppsite side but more happened and more features were added:

• PlayStation Now that brings BC for popular PS3 games
• Share Factory 
• Twitch HD with Archive
• Enhancements in Share, Share Factory, etc

And then they did the update 2.0 that finally put the OS featrues in a new level of gaming experience:

• The OS is even faster (you can't believe how they increased the performance)
• YouTube support
• Music Player
• SharePlay, you need to use to see how amazing it is.
• Themes
• Enhancements in Message, Party, etc.

That is guys the gap in OS gaming features and user experience is growing... one year and Sony managed to widen this gap that at first looked the opposite because you know MS is the company that created the Windows.

Congrats Sony for the amazing work you are doing with this console. Yeap it is not only the sales gap that is increasing.

Definitely! I'm glad Sony is focused on game-oriented features for the console, instead of "all-in-one" stuff.

Non-game things like Skype and Fantasy NFL on Xbox One are great and all (And by "great" I mean I don't care for them one bit) but I want games on my game console! Most of the non-game apps on Xbox One are just things I could do on my PC or a smartphone.

I love the game recording in particular! I don't know how I lived without it in the past. I've got too many gigabytes of my hard drive used up by so many captures. Screenshots are also great.

This is one of the main reasons why PS4 is ahead in the market, it satisfies those who stream and post in twitch and youtube.

True, the games are ready to play a thousand times faster than in the Xbox One.

It can... It can't enter in Standby (Rest Mode) with suspend... if you are playing a game and change to Netflix your game will be suspended (it won't be using CPU or GPU... only memory).

True, this is one of the good reason i'm glad to own a PS4 now

Using FreeBSD for the PS4's OS was a great decision. It's lightweight and fast, but can also pack a bunch of neat features, too.

not to forget it's in smooth 1080p60.
