I'd imagine it's Compile Heart's most profitable franchise, given that since 2010 we've had 7 games and an anime, with another 2 games scheduled for the next 2 months.

I think they'll make a fair bit from selling merchandise too, and like you say, they're fairly cheap to make (and they reuse a LOT of assets).

Wasted ? The fanbase for jrpg is on playstation console, it will flop on another system.

This is technically the 4th main line title.

They have redone the first 3 for the Vita, and there have been two spin off titles as well.

I will say at this rate a seventh entry is probably only a few years away.
