Forums - Nintendo Discussion - 3DS in 2015: Is it really this bad?

I literally can not think of a single big game for 3DS by Nintendo, however in 2015 we get Monster Hunter4, Yokai Watch, Bravely Second, Codename Steam, and Xenoblade (which is New 3DS exclusive) but notice how all of these are third party games...

Not anything from Nintendo confirmed? I hope we get some Nintendo Directs with some games coming out in 2015

Thoughts? Is this it for 3DS? Is there more to come? IS NINTENDO GONNA PULL A SEGA SATURN AND RELEASE A NEW HANDHELD TOMORROW???

Nintendo's ability to keep a secret is both awesome and sad at the sametime cause we have no idea whats in store for us T_T. I am guessing they will have something cooked up for 2015 but most likely, it will be for the n3ds! We will see though. Most likely, 2015 will be the transitional period from the current 3ds to the n3ds with them giving us reasons as to why we should switch (for better or for worse)

It probably will end being pretty bad since they've pretty much focused on the WII U for next year ...

If it means more Wii U support, 3DS can drop off the earth for all I care, haha.

Sorry man, it's the cold harsh truth. I never got on board with handhelds, I'm a console gamer.

Don't worry. Games don't have to be announced a full year in advance!

Just saying, we knew about Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon in 2012, knew about AC: NL in 2011, knew about Smash,Yoshi's New Island, and Kirby Triple Deluxe in 2013

Project STEAM is on my radar. And hopefully we get some other stuff. They're handheld games, so they don't need to be announced too far in advance.
The first half of the year could be a little barren, though. I don't really know anything coming from Nintendo or third parties? Maybe I need to look harder.

It wont be all bad, it will just be mostly bad. Nintendo's last push for the 3DS is probably the New 3DS before they move on to the 3DS true successor in 2016/17 so games are likely to slow down. Plus they are focusing on WiiU a lot more than they had in past years
