There are cross-promotions people can see coming a mile away, and then there are those that make people do a double-take; this is a double-take moment.

It seems the family-friendly Nintendo has joined forces with the adult-friendly Playboy franchise to promote the highly-praised Bayonetta 2.

Playboy’s “Resident Next Door” Pamela Horton who was voted Miss October 2012, suited up in the skin-tight leather garment, strapped on some guns and pistol-heels to portray the trigger-happy witch from the game.

As seen online, Playboy urges fans to vote for their favorite Bayonetta 2 cosplay photo on their Facebook page. While it doesn’t state what the site plans to do with the winning photo, there are an array of pictures to choose that will tickle anyone’s fancy.

This is pretty awesome, and whether purposeful or not, it feels like a truly earned middle finger to Polygon.  Check the link for more images.

It is a cool ideia even if I don't like the woman choose to cossplay Bayonetta.

Is there ANY official Nintendo statement that it is a joined action? I think DoubleShockers is writing "just something". Will be interesting to see who widespread these gets (it's already here) and also if it will help Nintendo or Bayonetta sales. ..

Hum, cool, but, to be fair, way better cos-play of Bayonetta have being seem around. It is kinda sloppy.

Also, Nintendo should send this model to Kotaku. That would garantee a good review from them.
