Considering how the DS emulated snes games and DSis emulated GBA games. And how the PSP emulated N64 games, I highly doubt the original 3ds cant handle at least the 16 bit consoles.

Meh, I'll pass.

Hopefully there isn't too much exclusive content though.
DSi style.

Honestly, I don't care. I know Nintendo isn't gonna support the New 3DS right. They never did with upgrades or add-ons in the past. So I have no problem ignoring it. Only the GBC got the right support. In two years, when the actual next system comes out. I'll buy these games that are locked to N3DS, and and not waste my money.

I bet the Xenoblade port would be outright impossible on my XL.

Considering they've said just that, I bet you you're right!

The only problem I have with New Nintendo 3DS is its horrible name, but other then that it sounds good. As a launch day 3DS owner, I've noticed the wear and tear on my device and have wanted to get a bigger screen for a while but held off on upgrading.

Glad I did so.

Not mad even in the slightest because it means I can give a family member my crystal white 3DS and I do like the new hardware along with changeable cover plates.

Step right up come on in, feel the buzz in your veins, I'm like an chemical electrical right into your brain and I'm the one who killed the Radio, soon you'll all see

So pay up motherfuckers you belong to "V"

There is no way that the 3ds regular cant run GBA and SNES games. Not when hackers were able to get full n64 games running on PSP and that was years ago on a less powerful system. IF that is in fact the case then Ninty really dont know what the hell they have been doing these past years.

Im more baffled than anything. These constant new editions and revisons to a system thats not even that old seems very desperate to me. Hell if it works it works though, not sure i will participate IMHO the 2nd stick looks crazy and a couple of WIi ports arent going to make me want to upgrade, and VC hasnt been a big draw since early Wii days and IMO its still too expensive. So im good for now.

I feel like im buying the regular size and faceplates :O

The original DS can emulate GBA and SNES games perfectly using software.

I was fine with the N3DS when they first announced it, I'd be fine in this situation, and I would be fine if they dropped everything they're doing with the O3DS and exclusively supported the new one.

Either way, I'm not complaining. I will buy the N3DS because my launch year 3DS is getting too old. (However, I do understand that some people are whiny-pants and would hate if Nintendo did the third option up there. For their sake, I hope they don't do that.)
