Contrary to popular belief, the console "loyalists" do not number in the dozens of millions. Not even for Nintendo. Funny thing is, you're looking at the "Nintendo loyalist" demographic right here on this website, and it couldn't be more obvious that this small faction does not represent the purchasing patterns of Nintendo's broader audience.

No...no i'm not and Nintendo hasn't even sold into the tens of millions yet. I have no clue what you're talking about.

Yes... that's my point.

So, when you look at a poll like this, you don't think this site has a (relatively) large population of "Nintendo loyalists?" If the Nintendo fans on this site (which seems to be about half the users) are not "loyalists," what exactly is a Nintendo loyalist and where are they?

There is one thread that easily disproves your whole argument. First, the abundance of Nintendo titles in the highest-ranking positions of this chart even while their home console is performing poorly indicates a large presence of Nintendo "loyalists" on this site. Second, the relative popularity of games like Xenoblade Chronicles X and Bayonetta 2 when compared to Captain Toad, Yoshi's Woolly World, Mario Maker, etc indicates that the buying patterns of Nintendo fans found on this site (Nintendo loyalists, as previously demonstrated) do not accurately reflect the buying patterns of Nintendo's audience at large.

Dude....I was generalizing when I said leftover market (loyalists). Those aren't all of the people on the Wii U and the numbers are always subject to change based on Nintendo's actions. This is my point. I gauge absolutely nothing by the people on this site (thats pretty much a silly assumption about what I am saying). Again.....that poll has nothing to do with my opinion so you're disproving absolutely nothing. I've been following Nintendos market and design decisions that they've been making in chronicle order and how it has affected the shifting of markets for technological and political reasons. I was not gauging the games because those games you mentioned had nothing to do with the popularity of the Wii at large. In fact Nintendo after ther Wii generation expressed regret about lack of hardcore third party game revenue on their console compared to their competition, which is why they were trying to sell the Wii U as this powerful console and no one on the news would buy it because they knew Sony and Microsoft were on their way with new consoles. I'll show you the video in a bit. I am on my way home.

True, but those are 3DS. I think we will be given a good look on the 24th (a month out of the Smash Wii U launch) on whether Nintendo wants to release their 1st party demos on the Wii U. I don't expect a demo being that the 3ds game is out, and their is a 3DS demo.
