Contrary to popular belief, the console "loyalists" do not number in the dozens of millions. Not even for Nintendo. Funny thing is, you're looking at the "Nintendo loyalist" demographic right here on this website, and it couldn't be more obvious that this small faction does not represent the purchasing patterns of Nintendo's broader audience.

No...no i'm not and Nintendo hasn't even sold into the tens of millions yet. I have no clue what you're talking about.

Yes... that's my point.
So, when you look at a poll like this, you don't think this site has a (relatively) large population of "Nintendo loyalists?" If the Nintendo fans on this site (which seems to be about half the users) are not "loyalists," what exactly is a Nintendo loyalist and where are they?
There is one thread that easily disproves your whole argument. First, the abundance of Nintendo titles in the highest-ranking positions of this chart even while their home console is performing poorly indicates a large presence of Nintendo "loyalists" on this site. Second, the relative popularity of games like Xenoblade Chronicles X and Bayonetta 2 when compared to Captain Toad, Yoshi's Woolly World, Mario Maker, etc indicates that the buying patterns of Nintendo fans found on this site (Nintendo loyalists, as previously demonstrated) do not accurately reflect the buying patterns of Nintendo's audience at large.
