Forums - Gaming Discussion - Change of tv screen, advice required.

Here's the story, I have a Samsung UE46F5000 LED 100 hertz. Problem is in-game everything is quite blurry even when the game runs at constant FPS the screen fuck it up pretty much. I don't know exactly where does it come from - wether it's something related LED or hertz - but I can tell you that it hurts my eyes really bad. In motion it's a real fuckfest. So I plan on changing it.

In order to not do the same error twice, I would like to hear some advice. I would like to buy another Samsung since apart for this screen I never had one problem with other product from them, but i'm open to proposition. So any advice for me ? Any explaination for my problem ?

My budget is 500/600$.

Well, idk if you are willing to wait a bit longer but 4k is becoming more and more affordable, its just the tvs still suck in terms of other things so if you wait like 6 months to a year more, you can get a fairly good/great 4k ready TV. And since people usually keep their TVs for like 5-7 years before replacing, I think its worth the wait since 4k is the next big thing for TVs/monitors

But games and movie will be in 1080p max for a good while.

Yea but from what I hear, the 4k scaling features are pretty good when going from 1080p and again, its like future proof for the next 5-7 years. And there are plenty of things that are doing 4k right now like Netflix and Youtube so its only a matter of time when the rest go 4k as well. Like sure, most things will be 1080p this year and next year but eventually, more and more things will be at 4k so its better to wait imo, specially for a TV

Have you tried turning some of the software enhancement settings on or off to see if that solves the blur problem?

Make sure your picture size is set to 16:9 and not screen fit.
Disable "LED clear motion" in picture options.
Here is the ugly truth about the new trend http://www.rtings.com/info/fake-refresh-rates-samsung-clear-motion-rate-vs-sony-motionflow-vs-lg-trumotion

I don't know how it displays 60fps games on that 50hz panel, that might be a problem too.

It's actually good advice. Most decent 4K TVs have excellent upscaling, and they are getting more and more affordable. Might as well be on the safe side and future-proof yourself.

Why not actually set up your own screen properly rather than go and buy another? Your issue here is poor setup no doubt, either in cabling or in the TVs setup software, go and either ask whoever you bought it off for some support, google the issue and see the other gamers who have it and who fixed it.... or just get digging in menus changing stuff while a game which is overly blurry is running.

Why not check me out on youtube and help me on the way to 2k subs over at www.youtube.com/stormcloudlive

Turn off all picture "enhancing" features and use the game or pc mode if the TV has it.

I have a Sony LED because most of them have very low input lag.

As someone mentioned earlier 4k is,becoming the norm, mobile phones can record in 4k I'd wait for it
