Surely we must be due a trailer soon for the MK8 DLC? It's due out next month, so in the next 2-6 weeks.

And now that we have a date for Smash Wii U, and Captain Toad, but relatively little information on either (particularly Captain Toad), are we due a Direct? We could also do with more information on Splatoon, seeing as it's a first half of 2015 game and is different to what we;ve seen from Ninty in the past.

Personally I doubt it, given that we've not had a 'real' Direct since E3 and we've had press releases and trailers released with absolutely zeo fanfare. But if we are due one, I reckon next Thursday, just before Bayonetta 2 releases over here.

How do you know Splatoon is going to release in the 1st half of 2015?

Nintendo announced it. And the official Website says that. As well for Mario Maker and Yoshi's Woolly World. ;)

Probably in mid to late November to try and lift Christmas sales.
Smash Wii U exclusive mode - if it has one -, amiibo plans, MK8 trailer for DLC, Captain Toad and the rest about NEW 3DS.

We're due a Direct in the next few weeks, probably after Bayonetta 2 is out in the West. Sakurai mentioned he'd been talking about the Wii U version of Smash for some promotional video/trailer type thing in his Weekly Famitsu Column, so I assume he was referring to a Direct.

ugggg let's hope not.  I'm hoping for early November.  They need to spread out stuff.  They have Smash for late November now.  Don't get why everything has to be right around BF if you come out with a bunch of stuff in October and early November it will still effect BF as there to the end of the year ALWAYS has high sales.  May as well give your games and system TWO boosts.  One from launch then a secondary one on BF

I keep thinkin about the release dates for Europe...

I think early November (after the Nintendo fiancial briefing) is more likely to cover all that, except for the NEW 3DS. That will likely be saved for next year.
