With it selling well in Japan I think it will do well in the West.

Should help Extend life of the 3ds for another year.

I'm thinking it'll continue to perform amazingly in Japan, but the West is a different story.

Overall, it should help the 3DS keep average to good sales throughout next year, and that's all I'm expecting it to do. However, if the games line up next year is terrible, then say hello to a train wreck.

It will sell well.

Plenty of people will upgrade for the improved loading and other conveniences, and many 3DSs have aged quite a bit over time and with use and could likely use a refresh. My own 3DS XL has been has a very obvious screen tear (from my dropping it) along the top screen from time to time. I'm not going to go out and buy a new 3DS XL for a marginal problem but I will buy a n3DS (I think I will downsize to the regular, XL is too big for on the go for me) to fix said problem AND get a much better user experience.

It will sell well during the holidays and about average during the rest of the year. I'm getting one but I don't even know why. Xenoblade, I guess.

It will sell well at the start but it's sales will slow a lot after a couple of months.
