Yeah man that really sounds awesome. I had 360 for 5+ years and never really loved any other games on it besides online COD with mates. Yet I love so many different Nintendo franchises. I like the sound of a much more varied gaming experience with PS4.

You wont regreat it. Playstation has everything that others are offering plus more. So its a great investment.

Based on the information you give, getting a PS4 is a good choice.

And I think you will like this Free-to-Play game. It's coming soon to PS4.

Cheers for this! Bigger Community is exactly what I'm after. The XB1 Aussie COD community is practically dead. I find myself going back and playing 360 more than playing XB1. 

 

So you reckon PS4 will be getting more indie titles as well? I love indie games.

Ahh the network effect. Same thing happened to the 360 in the US for COD and the ps3 got it from fifa in europe

Why don't you buy a Wii U? You said you enjoy Nintendo franchises. Or are 3rd party games very important to you? There are over a dozen top notch Nintendo games coming out in tyhe next year and there are already more than a dozen available with dozens of great indies and a handful of third party games. I went from PS3 to Wii U, and for multiplayer, especially local multiplayer, I've never had a better console.

 

I have a basic need for 3rd party which is filled by black ops 2 on the Wii U with dual screen local multiplayer (bought for $15). The other 3rd party games I enjoy are only available on pc anyway such as civilization, europa universalis, cruisader kings etc. Not sure if you are similar.

 

The Wii U has the following over the PS4:

1. Local multiplayer with dual screen out of the box.

2. Free online play

3. Nintendo exclusives that are the best Nintendo games of all time.

4. the ability to remote play your games on the handheld straight out of the box (if someone else is hogging the tv)

5. Massive indie support and more coming. Some are exclusive too.

 

It does not have:

1. As good of a graphics capability

2. The backing of third party developers, although it's first party games are vastly superior this far according to reviews

3. Relevant appeal with people who only like shooting and football games.

Indies? Plenty great ones coming.

PS4 has been getting a lot of indie games and a lot of them have been free through PS+ this past year. PS+ imo is one of the best things about PS4 though, you pay for it to play CoD online and then whenever you are bored of CoD their is some new games just waiting for you to try out. 2 new games each month, if you aint fussy you can live off of PS+ games =P
