Random question, when is VGCs peak hour?

From experience, around mid-day to evening US Central time.
or whenever there's a major conference/announcement.

The forum tends to explode around E3 and similar industry events.

In general, I think activity is high Monday-Friday, mid-day to evening. Weekends are usually much quieter.

He'll be back.

If you miss him, just give him a call!

I've noticed that action has been taken on blatant Nintendo bashing and there have been moderations about it. That's a good direction.

The reason this is important is because, if baseless bashing is given too much room to grow (like happened recently), we get what happened in the Reggie article, people just bashing without giving things proper thought, and it does not reflect well on the site as a whole.

I'm very glad this issue is being taken more seriously.

You know, I get that you are trying to reduce the negativity and stealth trolling that goes on here and I support that.  However, I think it hurts your cause on here that you only focus on Nintendo related bashing and stealth trolling.  If you really want to make a difference, don't be so single minded in your approach.  Take a step back and look at everything, not just Nintendo.

I know that some Nintendo fans troll Sony, and they usually immediately get banned for it. I have noticed that the opposite isn't as true or wasn't, lately, so that's why I focus on it. The proof to me was what we saw in the Reggie article, it defied logic and was a manifestation that people have been too comfortable bashing Nintendo without thinking things through.

Nah, it is pretty even.  You probably just notice the Nintendo fans getting in trouble more because you are closer with them and more conscious of their activity.

I disagree, it's pretty obvious given the example I just gave you that Nintendo bashing has become the popular thing. Any new Nintendo article pops up and I automatically expect the usual "Reggie must go", "Miyamoto must go", "Nintendo should go 3rd party" comments, often without any valid reasoning.

I don't think the same amount of negativity towards Sony would be tolerated here at all. At least I don't see it. When the Vita was getting bashed, soon users began to complain and people stopped. I think that's what's happening here for Nintendo this time.

One thread is proof of nothing.  A thread can get derailed and go on for a long time for a lot of reasons.  For example, no moderators online to deal with it.  However, if a corporate executive says or does something that most people don't agree with, then sure, a thread is going to generate a lot of critical comments.  Especially somebody like Reggie who has rubbed a lot of people the wrong way for several years now.  Also, the vita bashing didn't really go away as much as all the vita fans retreated to the vita thread.

I also notice you don't even talk about Microsoft who is probably the most attacked console maker on this site.  As somebody who likes all three console makers about equally, I don't see any bias in how people are moderated.  Do some companies get attacked more than others?  Sure.  Should all companies be treated the same?  Nope.

Struggling companies often have more critical comments for a reason.  They are generally struggling because they are doing things that a lot of people don't like.  So I would expect a Nintendo thread to have more critical responses then a Sony thread because of their respective positions, just like last gen Nintendo threads were super positive and Sony threads were negative.

With that said, I do support you trying decrease the negativity and stealth trolling on this site.  However, I STRONGLY disagree that it is a problem that only Nintendo fans are facing, heck, they don't even have the worst of it on here.  So, like I said, I think you would have more success in making a positive change if you focused on all console makers, not just Nintendo.

A quick look at who is banned right now might seem to indicate Padib has a case here. But the fact that the ones being banned on Nintendo's side are the usual suspects, having quite a long history of similar offenses, it's to be taken with a bag of salt.

One guy got banned for trolling Nintendo. An other for trolling something unrelated to gaming,  and of the 3 Nintendo centric users who are currently banned, 2 of them unsurprisingly got banned for trolling either Sony or Microsoft just as they always do, while the last one got banned for criticising a moderation.

I have a question for the mods. How many alts has Zero999 made?

Too many, but I doubt they will have a specific answer for you.  Also, it is best to ignore the whole situation, he doesn't need the attention...

Why did foodfather get banned?

He was a fellow funkster.

I am a Nintendo fanatic.
