WOW O_O Im so surprised that Smash in 2014 can have a better opening than Kart in 2011.
Kart launched on an install base of less than 5mil, Smash has over 16m potential buyers. So yeah Kart>Smash still because it sold to a larger percent of its install base... and Smash 3DS will never catch MK7 =P

Nice to have you back tbone

Will people take this into account the install base of around 100 million ps3s and xbox 360s to around 7.2 million wii us when Bayo 2 releases? (I doubt it.) If that's the case with japan alone Bayonetta is more profitable on nintendo consoles.

Well we are comparing the size of two franchises here. Comparing MK 8 to SSB 4 is a much fairer comparison for this, instead of taking a game which launched on a third of the installbase of it's competitor franchise. Also, I don't think you know what profitable means. Profitable is how much money you earn on something.

True, I guess more popular would be more of the word I should have used. (Though no one is quite sure how much money Nintendo put in or paid to make this exclusive so it could very well be more profitable as well.)

Bolded: If you say so, lol.

For the bolded part, I obviously meant Mario Kart 8 compared to SSB 4 U.

Sure it can be profitable for Nintendo (though I doubt it), but not in Japan alone

Not in Japan yet you mean

This is pretty interesting.

We should have a thread like this discussing worldwide sales once the game's out everywhere.

If SSB3D was released Holidays it would have been overkill...

Well, Freakin smart move Nintendo, at this rate, the 3DS sales worldwide will pretty much cover the budget of the Wii U/3DS versions combined.
