Sigh... You're living in denial aren't you? It wont end up being ported. wait until it Launches in the west before saying it will be a loss. Both Platinum and nintendo are known for having pretty damn good budgets.

lmao

Clearly you are the on in denial.  Reality it just debutes to 39k selling less then half its shipment and doing less then its predecessor on freaking xbox 360 in JAPAN.  It wont or will none actually none give a fuck, but their are realities in business.  If B2 is a flop it fails to help ninty then why should they suffer the costs ? they might as well let it go and funnel the $ else where.

Wishful thinking.

This is Nintendo we are talking about. For better or worst, this game will remain a Wii U exclusive.

So with a lower user base the X360 sku of Bayo 1 opened to almost double the Wii U Bayo 2 sku. Maybe Hideki Kamiya should stop telling fans to "F*ck off" on Twitter. :)

Ultimate proof Nintendo audience doesn't buy mature/non first party games. Even the doomed 360 which had an installbase smaller than the WiiU's in JAPAN, managed to outsell Beyonetta 2!

Now, your post got me interested. Will you admit the opposite when bayonetta 2 does better than the first game on west? because wii u's installed base is much smaller than ps360 at the time bayonetta released. the numbers for bayonetta debut are as follow:

X360: US - 91.5k on a 18.3 million base.     Europe - 49.5k on a 12.4 million base

PS3: US - 53k on a 11 million base.    Europe - 46.7k on a 13 million base

Wii U estimate installed base for october 24: US - 3 million   Europe - 1.8 million

US pre orders for bayonetta 2 are at 46k, with several weeks left, being higher than the combined ps360 versions of bayonetta, with the same number of weeks left. it's also already above than the final US pre orders of the individual versions and close to matching the first week of the ps3 version. we don't have european pre orders but we do know that the limited edition had 15000 copies and it sold out quickly.

So, when considering US and europe numbers, the first bayonetta sold 241k on the first week, 144k on US and 96k on Europe.

Bayonetta 2 is set to match or exceed those numbers, even on a MUCH smaller installed base. what will you say then?

How overtracked is it on VGC? We know it's only at 15k lifetime in Japan (making it way overtracked in that region alone).

Even then we're talking lifetime here. It might take some years, but 300k for Wonderful 101 is certainly possible. Even if the game is sold for $5.

Why would any retailer order new copies of the game in the past 6 months? I would be shocked if it did any more than sell out of what's left.

What did you expect it to drop to after the Destiny boost? I thought around 8k -10k so I was more or less right. It should then return to the average we've been seeing for a while now. Spikes are always nice but what is more important is the new average following a spike ... Destiny wasn't ever going to create a new average; although I was actually surprised it boosted PS4 sales at all.

Zero, stop. It's not going happen. Stop trying to make it happen.

oooo for god's sake i do not compare them ;)  simply i disagree to take japan as  an indication for bad or good sales in the west and  i suggest to wait for the western release,if it also  fails there then feel free to call it a flop:P

It's true that Japan is a poor indicator of performance in the West, and vice versa, but I don't see any reason to think it'll do much better there.

Like I said; we'll see over the next few weeks, 2nd and 3rd week sales are a lot more telling of potential for lifetime sales.

bold: yeah, no reasons besides much higher pre orders.

also, other people being stupid isn't a reason.

crow is being prepared.

Aside from the underwhelming sales, Bayonetta 2 did almost nothing for hardware sales. I'll be interested to see what happens with it in the west.
