Just ask her for coffee (and waffles!)

Do you really think: "hey trasleg, i'm nikkom, we chatted before, i'm this graphic designer on the brink of breaking through with a t-shirt label, with a friend of mine in the netherlands and i also teach part time.. I like to game but never have the time cause there is like always a CSI episode on tv which i rather watch"..

Is better than: "Hey trasleg, you, me, waffles & coffee, bruxlles, next thursday, 12:00"

I mean.. Its like impossible to write down why you are so awesome she should meet you.. It always turns into something cringe worthy

Eh, i went the other way (just sent another message). But it's not me bragging, just putting it out there that we have a lot of similar interests, and said we'd enjoy hanging out.

I could go for some waffles, though.

She "saw" the message almost immediately yesterday. It's not like she's coming home to an answering machine with 20 messages on it.

I mean, i know what behavior to avoid. My trouble is what i *should* be doing...

Be clear! Should have asked her for coffee and waffles.. Thats your first goal so you should have go for it... "we'd enjoy hanging out" what kinda sentence is that? Seriously.. You basicly said "wanna hang out?" .. I said that in kindergarten to make friends.. Be more mature, show confidence, no one sees this, nothing to lose..

You're right. I keep assuming the other party has the ability to read into my intentions.

Do you still have my phone number from when we met a couple years ago?

You should text me for advice man! I could give you some social tips based on my experience with you.

Nah, i'm two phones removed from that phone, unfortunately. Second phone died unexpectedly, too, so i lost everything and had to start my contacts from scratch.

Thanks though! I tend to do pretty well once i actually get the girl out, it's the first part that's super-awkward.

Lol.. No the second date is always harder. Its natural for people not to click right away... I have a friend who can get first dates but never a second date.. But i can't be the one telling him: "your life kinda goes nowhere.. Past 30 still studying, living in a small room close to college, no real job, watching too many tv shows and movies cause he can qoute everything.." thats not attractive to a woman.. Generating enough interest for a second date is harder then asking someone out..

But lets stay at the first part

Meh, didn't work anyway.

I'm going to have to try some online dating this summer. I'm going to have a lot of time on my hands, it seems (because of a good work situation, actually)

*reads above post

In a nutshell... that's seems to be the problem every time. The trend I always notice is people putting too much focus on dating or getting a girlfriend when they should be expanding their social life.

It's like wanting money but not wanting to work a full time job.
