PS4 and Wii are selling pretty close cumulativly. The Wii by the end of 2007 sold 19.51 million units (according to VGChartz)

Here's sales for both in the same point in time to help you answer this question

Wii- 11.25 million

PS4- 10.19 million

I think PS4 will sell 17 million by the end of the year. So I say no it won't match it. What do you think?

P.S. I THINK VGCHARTZ SHOULD ADD CUMULATIVE SALES FOR CONSOLES INSTEAD OF JUST GAMES!

I dont think so for this year but the wii sold like free bondage sex for the first few years and then dropped in sales rapidly (most likely due to too much pain and not enough recovery time, har har) but, if the ps3 is anything to go by, the ps4 should have stronger legs so the ps4 should at least be on par eventually

It can. Even if it doesn't it should come extremely close. September alone will probably catch it up to the Wii. It never works in ones favor to bet against the PS4 I have learned. Its even more impressive be I think the Wii was still cheaper.

Still going by my prediction that no console will ever again reach 100m(including handhelds).

Th strongest PS4 games are coming in 2015 so it wont exceed 15-17 million this year.

The Order 1886 and Bloodbonre is coming  in February so some players may be waiting for that.

Not likely. There won't be enough sales in Japan to start with. Plus must regions it well still be down compared to the Wii. Though when the ps4 eventually stood selling many years from now I expect it to have sold more.

I'd say it's rather unlikely :p The PS4's primary (potential) long term sales advantage against the Wii will be longevity. On a yearly basis though it will be hard pressed to beat the Wii.
