So after all this time, Destiny is finally with us! One of the most anticipated games in years launched today, and it's time to finally play. So, what is the initial opinion of you guys? Seems like it's generally positive right now (if slightly more mixed than expected), but there appears to be relatively few server problems which is good to hear. 

My copy should be coming today, so I'll post my opinions later on. But I'm looking forward to hearing other opinions from the fine people of VGC in the meantime.

Got the game at 9 PM my time (HST my time, or Pacific 12 Am, i went digital) and it worked flawlessly played for 5+ hours not a single hiccup.

My only complain is it is not Skyrim+WoW+Halo+BL2+Diablo all rolled together but better in each way (sarcasm, but most of the complaints I see lead me to thing that what they were expecting)

Best game of the year hands down. I spent 70+ hours in TLOU:R, and yes this is a better game. What hurts it is it is not exclusive to a console so it does not give the fanboys defense.



End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)

Wii- 72 million   3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases

360- 37 million   Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak

PS3- 29 million  Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut

Yeah, I don't trust VGC polls overly. Metacritic user reviews are all over the place but that's no surprise.

It's why there's no "1" option. Hopefully the guys who would just choose 1 would select the bottom value without looking!

The people who actually have it are playing it, so they wont vote.... so yes the poll is very flawed.

I'm a Nintendo fan who owns an Xbox One, played the game, and rated it an 8. Do I win some kind of prize?

The damn game came out TODAY, and there are already hundreds of user "reviews" on Metacritic. It has a user score of 5,4. Seriously, what the fuck is wrong with these people? "Duh, gotta make sure the game has a terrible score as soon as possible"

It usually happens to popular games on there and a few exclusives thanks to fanboys which is why I don't take user scores seriously.
