ironic, but true, someone who sleeps with others for favour is just doing what he/she needs to climb higher, not nice but allmost everyone is doing or done that in some way. sex is a big favour, but we shouldnt shame a some girls because they used all they got.
the problem is the one in the higher position who traded those favours against other big favours.
taking sex for good reviews or a award is like taking money, its corruption 101, and they didnt try to hide it well and they dont think its wrong, judging from the flood of whiteknight artikels and tweets.
Come on.. I'm tired of this damn subject! Can we forget about this?

Great thread. There's nothing like a forum to really get into the bottom of the issue.
I didn't know about any of this until I saw the article on VG Chartz's front page about the letter signed by 2000 devs calling for the end of intolerance, hating speech and personal threats in the gaming community. I noticed something wasn't right once in 13 years visiting gaming websites I never saw a threat being made. Now I know it's all a scheme to draw attention from an outrageous lack of ethics and professionalism on the so called "gaming journalists" into a non-existent issue in the gamers' community. What a shame.

The issue is not that she is having sex man.
She can sleep with everyone she wants, the issue is trading favors for sex in a professional enviroment.
And I don´t even think this is about just one dev girl, if the industry reacted like that, it is probably because this kind of thing is wide spread and probably involves much more than sex, things like money, gifts and things like that. The industry is afraid that we find out how promiscuous they reall are.
This is very very toxic, in any enterprise.
My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.
This is about a lot of things: corruption, sexual favors, personal agendas disguised as journalist, bullying and threats by the journos to developers.
And is getting bigger and bigger.
