Forums - Sony Discussion - Square Enix On Dragon Quest Heroes: "Not A Musou Game"

With a tweet that you can see at the bottom of the news producer of the game Dragonquest: Heroes announced for PS4 / Ps3 SCEJA during the press conference this morning, he wanted to point out that not it will be a musou game. It is defined as Action/RPG and will arrive during the spring of 2015 in Japan.

You guessed right. This way even i'm interested now lol! Looks like it'll be like a cross between Kingdom Hearts and a traditional Dragon Quest gameplay wise. That sounds like music to my ears.

Dragon Hearts

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

Well the name doesnt suggest Musou. Anyway it looks awesome regardless. Maybe they are taking some ideas from their recent venture into the Boss Hunt sub genre in Toukiden and mixing it with Musou for Dragon Quest Heroes

lol sounds about right. I'm thinking they're trying to create a third main game for themselves. Kingdom Hearts itself on the PS2 was such an experiment and look what happened to that one.

I'm all for it, we've been missing Square Enix for some time.

"It's not a Musou title." It's Dragon Quest "Heroes."

Anyone who watched the trailer knows it's a Musou title. The small snippets of gameplay scream Musou, and then, oh, it's developed by Omega Force, the same dev that develops several Musou titles each year every year.

So you know better than the producer? Is Omega Force not allowed to create other games? What's your thoughtprocess here..

Well we'll see, sure as hell looked like a Musou title. But I think I heard there will be a gameplay presentation at TGS, so we might not have to wait too long to find out.

If it's an Action RPG in the vein of Kingdom Hearts then I might be interested.
