Ok, it's definitely undertracked in Us too, by 50k at least



Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:

 PS4: 17m   XB1: 10m    WiiU: 10m   Vita: 10m

This has been happening routinely, so it will be to no one's surprise that VGC undertracked the PS4. The bigger question is by how much did VGC undertrack the PS4?

I believe there was only one month where VGC overtracked the PS4 in the US. However, it has undertracked the PS4 in all the other months. Some months, it's only off by a little, but other times, it is off by a lot. Also, the site still hasn't adjusted accordingly after Sony announced the 10 million sold-to-consumers figure.

vgc ps4 ltd numbers are overtracked right now by 100k (end of august)

 

ps4 numbers for april (before adjustment) were overtracked by ~15k

ps4 numbers for may (before adjustment) were overtracked by ~50k

ps4 numbers for july (before adjustment) were overtracked by ~20k

ps4 numbers for june (before adjustment) were undertracked by ~70k

u can go back and lock at every month...

And how do you know that PS4 LTD is overtracked by 100k? You've only proved that it's overtracked in the US by 100k. When Sony announced their 10 million sold-to-consumers in early August, VGC had the PS4 at 9.7-9.8 million.

My reply to sully referred to VGC's tracking overall. But yeah, I admit that I screwed up on NPD.

Not sure about Sundays but it seems like they update around 2pm EST.  

 

I predict it will reach 49 by launch day.  After that, if it proves to have sustained popularity, it may  get to 35.

It's still in the top 15 (11 at the moment). How high will it go? Vanilla PS4 is #9. XB1 top SKU about to drop out of the top 40 @ 38 and falling.

Also, wow @ Shadow of Mordor PS4 outselling Forza Horizon XB1 by a significant gap. A lot of people were expecting SoM to fail, but the timing of the release might be fortuitous vs. later in October/November when it is going to get brutal.
