Forums - Nintendo Discussion - If you want quality mature games on Wii U, please don't support a gimped port of Watch Dogs. There's a better solution.

I still want the game. So I'm going to buy it. I'll probably trade it in later to put money down on other games if its not up to par with my expectations.

"I think it will be the HDS"-Me in regards to Nintendo's next handheld.

I do plan to buy Bayonetta 2 day one. But I do want to buy Watch Dogs too. I'm genuinely interested in the game and what Ubisoft can do with the gamepad.

Me too. It breaks my heart that Ubisoft is abandoning the Wii U. I wish they would consider making a game tailored to the Wii U. Whatever that consists of who knows...something beyond Just Dance. It doesn't have to be 'kiddie', but it doesn't have to be mature rated either. Why does it have to be one or the other? Anyway, I love my Wii U. I played Watch Dogs and while not incredible, it wasn't bad either. Perhaps the late release will bring a few tweaks of improvement to the other systems versions...has anyone even considered that?!?!?!?! Bayonetta 2 looks flat out stunning!! I loved the first one. I heard it was much better for 360, but for some reason I bought it for my PS3 instead of my 360 so I am hoping my Wii U version of the 1st will be silky smooth and more than merit a second play through!!

I guarantee watchdog sells more than bayonetta 2 on wii u

I had a bet going with fatslob that the Wii U port of Watch Dogs would be technically on par or worse than the PS3/360 versions, given Ubisoft's history of lazy, slapdash Wii U ports.

Unfortunately, he got perma-banned, but I stand by my prediction. This will be another shitty port job with an abysmal framerate and no attempt to capitalize on Wii U's larger memory or more modern GPU, mark my words.

Amen, Amen, Amen!! Yes people, the Wii U is much more powerful than the 360 or the PS3!! By far mind you. The reason why you don't see it too much is optimization. The 360 has been out 7 years longer than the Wii U and the PS3 6 years! Those systems optimization has been refined over and over and over! They have been optimized so beautifully that they are still impressive 9 and 8 years respectively later!! John Carmack believes those systems STILL haven't been completely tapped!! The GPU on the Wii U is superior, the BUS line is fatter & faster,  the cache is much larger and faster, the RAM dwarfs that of 360/PS3 and is faster!! It may not be quite have the raw horsepower of the PS4 or Xbox One, but I can assure you it is superior to last gen in  many ways that people don't even consider.

What about the people who have no interest in Bayonetta 1+2 and can't wait to play Watch_Dogs on their WiiU? Should they buy Bayonetta even though they have no intention of playing it?

Yes, because it's impossible to not like Bayonetta.

Now that's just downright silly.

Unless Watch Dogs U starts flying off the shelves, the only thing Wii U will get worth playing from them is Rayman. It shouldn't be too hard to get the game running 720p 30fps no dips with slighty better visuals over the last gen versions. Plus there is also the promising gamepad features that will make it stand out from all the other versions. I'm sure Ubisoft will offer something unique with this game with all the extra time they have. They made way more use of the gamepad then Nintendo themselves.

And Bayonetta 1 is sure to run better than even the 360 version. The studio porting has worked on it for over a year with Hideki Kamiya himself supervising. I owned the PS3 version myself and sold it as soon as I had heard it was coming to Wii U. Loved the game so much despite having the crappy port. And Bayonetta 2 looks like it'll be continuing that same level of fun I had with the first one.

Why?

The first sold niche on 360 and ps3, and I highly doubt those that did play the game would even buy a wii u

plus the whole nintendo gamers not liking mature games which is kinda true, I mean wii u owners aighnt getting a GTA game anytime soon so why not go for an alternative....

Truth. ZombiU and Rayman Legends use the Pad better than any of Nintendo's efforts.
