Forums - Nintendo Discussion - How many Wii U digital games have you purchased?

Do you have any physical copies of games?

Three.

Nintendo Land, Sonic & All Stars Racing Transformed (which I also own digitally), and Injustic: God's Among Us. I was actually planning on going to Gamestop tomorrow to trade those in so I can buy eshop cards and, in turn, buy the digital version of Injustice instead since it's only $20 on the eshop now. Then I'll have no physical Wii U games at all.

Physical copies of games are annoying. Who wants to get up and change games when our short attention spans give up on us? Eshop is great!

How often do you change games...?

I know, its not too hard and I do one a day. But while I am inbetween games I go through 4-5 digital games a day. Bought to buy Armillo after seeing a good review on gaminggravy.com.

wow thats alot of gaming right there...

I know the convenience of digital cant be beat. But I personally feel my investment is safer with a physical copy. Plus for the same retail price for both mediums, I'd rather get something I can touch and hold. I also like how my collection of games looks, those sexy blue colored cases showing their spines proudly and all lined up. Guess Im just old school like that ;)

I feel comfort in knowing that if my Wii U explodes, I'll still own most of my games. ;) That and they look cool on my shelf. And I don't want to pay for an extra hard drive if I can help it; I want my 32GB to last.

I have about 20 physical games as well. But these digital games will never have physical copies.

How many have you downloaded btw?

I've got a single game from VC which is FREAKIN MEGA MAN X.
Download games are:
Guacamelee Super Turbo Championship Edition
Nano Assault Neo
UNEpic (an underrated game, if I may add)
NES Remix
and Wii Party U from that MK8 promotion. Still haven't touched it, though.

Yeah, indie games and vc. I guess theres no choice about that. I dont get much time to play so retail keeps me pretty busy. Heck I still havent finished windwaker.

No full release digital titles - excepting the Zelda Windwaker I redeemed when I bought Mario Kart 8, but other titles...

Virtual Console
Megaman
Super Mario Bros
Super Mario 3
Legend Of Zelda
Dr Mario
Legend Of Mystical Ninja
Mario Bros
Brain Training (was free, but I have it, so I included it)

then...

NES Remix
NES Remix 2
Pullblox World
Trine 2
Bit Trip Runner 2
Toki Tori
Toki Tori 2
Little Inferno
EDGE
RUSH
Pinball FX 2

So I guess I'm doing my bit for old Ninty! Though I admit, a lot were bought on sale or special offer, but what can I say? I'm a sucker for a deal! I'm thinking of picking up a few more VC titles this week while the NES remix VC offer is on, and I'm still waiting until a lot of my Wii VC library goes on sale to rebuy, though that was more skewed to PCE/Turbografx ( titles near impossible to get here) and a dozen or so titles I've been eyeing off in the Wii VC shop, awaiting their eventual WiiU transfer before I purchase....

For the record, on disc I have..
Super Mario 3d World
Mario Kart 8
Pikmin 3
NintendoLand
Scribblenauts Unmasked
Sonic Lost World
Walking Dead Survival Instinct
Batman AC Armored
Tank! Tank! Tank!
Deus Ex HR Directors Cut
ZombiU
Resident Evil Revelations
Funky Barn
Need For Speed Most Wanted U
NBA 2K13

Not too shabby for a OneU guy!

But the hardrive made specificly for the Wii U is really cool! I did not know it existed. Gamestop helped me find it when bestbuy and Radioshack failed. I drove 15 minutes to a gamestop to get it. it includes a special y adapter made for it, and does not need a power supply. Also interesting, since gamestop does not even sell hardrives.

Honestly, I didn't know there was one either, but I am really trying to avoid unnecessary expenses at present.
