To be honest half the reason I post yuri a lot in a group chat is just to see his hearts and appreciation for the images, doujins, gifs, videos, etc. Always gives me a warm feeling the thought that I can see his feels, excitement and happiness for a genre we both love even if is just in text, small things like that is part of why I love him so much.

Ah you're gonna make me cry with this, man.

Way to put so much feeling behind something as simple as a bunch of heart eyes. DX

Slow Start is just the oddest anime.  It's like it was written by a two different people, each with a different vision for the series.

Primarily, even though what's-her-name is the protagonist, I've come to believe that Eiko is the main character.  All the girls are the normal cliches you'd find in this kind of anime, except for Eiko.  She is something different.  Even her relationship with the (female) teacher (who is also awesome) feels so different from watching the protagonist act like a baby deer.  The dynamic Eiko brings to the table can change the nature of the anime on a dime.  Everyone else is aware of it, too, which is why Eiko is usually the center of attention.

Queen Eiko at work--

As a bonus, one of the very few instances that Eiko is the one flustered-

Heh...so this anime is good for more than my fantastic puns. This gif is adorable I need to save it for later.

Violet Evergarden ep 9 was phenomenal...amazing development for the MC and I like how everything tied together. Honestly could have ended right there, I have no idea what will happen for the next 5 episodes.

Goro/Ichigo best DarFranxx pairing don't @ me. In seriousness though, I hope this means we don't have to see Ichigo watching main couple sadly for 24 episodes. Goro is a better boy anyway.

And happy birthday to Nao Toyama! If you don't know any of the characters below than watch Yuru Camp it's delightful.

Yahallo!

FInished Season 1 of My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU. Really enjoyable overall. Had a few slow moments, but the themes were well done and the characters felt pretty human. Wasn't over-troped and I liked most of the cast. Plus Jojo references!

I'll start season 2 sometime in the next few weeks. I'm going on vacation tomorrow which means I'll fall behind on weekly shows for a bit.

On that note, sorry @Mike321, but I'm going to end your Appreciation Week a day early. New poll is Anime of the Season - Winter 2018.

Going with a combination of anime that are highly rated and being talked about in this thread. Leaving out never-ending anime and second cours, even if that means my personal AOTS is being left out. Am I...a hero? Some might say so...

Anyways, vote for your favorite, make a post, or do both. Feel free to make a big post of gifs...I'll do one in a few weeks I'm sure.

That's all for now. Ja ne, everyone!

Pretty much a dead heat between A Place Further than the Universe and Yuru Camp. Both are excellent.

It's ok boom, thanks for the pool

A place further than the universe, Yuru camp and Citrus all have been great, it's gonna be hard to pick between them, all I know for sure is that Shirase is one of my favorite characters ever, and I think I've found my aesthetic for characters: long black hair (sorry boom DX) and with strong determination.

Love Citrus due to the great way it adapted the manga and good production values for mah niche genre

But means having to leave behind Yuru Camp, Pop Team Epic and A Place Further than the Universe (with proud mamas Gin and Takako).

*Opens beer*

Black Clover has been my favourite, psyched that it got bumped up to 50 episodes.
Violet Evergarden gets a mention also as it is somewhat different than what I have watched previously, and Violet is an awesome character.
