First of all let me start by saying this... This thread is made to show anybody who's interested in knowing characters that have a chance to be playable in SSB. This list is guaranteed by no means and is 100% opinionated to my best knowledge.

There is also no bias at all here cuz if there was, Geno would be at the #1 Spot! That Said all characters shown have a Chance, but its not like some have a good chance, but overall just makes sense....... LETS BEGIN!

 These 2 list are what i thought was the most reasonable characters to make it in the game at a certain time... (Not My Most Wanted, but Most Realistic for me!)

NOW FOR MY FINAL LIST OF..... Most Realistic Newcomers!!! Here it is.... (Updating Still)

Just so you kno, i wont include Mewtwo or characters that i think will be alt costumes this time (ms pacman/roy/dr. mario/etc)

Lets Begin.....

Runner Up: Mega Sceptile

Why This pokemon? Well its the only one that makes sense now imho if you exclude the missing veterans. It also would complete the trio of types and is probably going to be the most popular starter overall in the upcoming OR/AS Remakes.

Runner Up: Geno

Sounds biased but if their were another third party rep, i think Geno is the best option. 1 its a SE rep and srry guys Sora doesn't cut it for this game. 2. Was with Mario in the game SMRPG on the SNES so it works. 3. Probably one of the strongest Candidates for SSB overall.

10. Ridley

Only character (maybe Dark Samus too) that literally should represent the Metroid Franchise excluding Samus herself! The Too Big Excuse always comes into play, but what alot of people dont realize is that he's the biggest most requested character of the franchise!

9. Ghirahim/Demise (or some other LoZ Character but probably not)

I dont think will get more LoZ characters as i believe Ganondorf will return and have 5 reps, but if they do decide i can see Ghirahim join the fray!

well out of these, i'd say dixie and paper mario are the most likely. perhaps ridley. i guess isaac would be neat for golden sun fans but i doubt it'll happen, no solely handheld franchise has so far been represented by a playable character in smash. except for mr game & watch i guess..
personally i think waluigi and even birdo are more probable than most of these.

I don't think your realistic list is realistic at all, besides a few of course.

Most likely is Dixie and Issac but I hope for Bandanna Dee even though probably wont get him because Sakurai is "humble"

Every pokemon is solely a handheld franchise character

Also Waluigi is deconfirmed (Assist trophy again) and Birdo i highly doubt. She's not even in Mario Kart 7 or 8!

Oh Really? Which of the top 10 do you think is not realistic? Especially in the top 5. I'll explain my reasoning with easch character :)

Ridley - he's been already confirmed as a stage hazard.

Dark Pit - He's way too similar to normal pit to be worth a character slot. Sure you might argue the same thing about Lucina, but I doubt Sakurai wants to put even more of his characters in the game, he's already trying not to over-represent his franchises in the game.

Paper Mario - I admit he's a possible contender, but I doubt he'll be in.

Bandana Dee - same thing as Dark Pit.

Isaac - I'm probably the biggest Golden Sun fan in the world, and I really want him to be in as well (so do a lot of people), but unfortunately the franchise isn't really that popular. I admit he's the most likely out of the ones I talked about, and I'd love to be proven wrong about him.

Remember there will only be at least one newcomer and maybe a few more. This was just a realistic list imo. I've answered each in the comment above!
