Halo 5 Guardians will feature a new playable mainline spartan for the first time in franchise history. (I said "mainline" because Noble 6 in Halo Reach is simply a generic, nameless Spartan. He isn't a fully fleshed out character.)

343 Industries just confirmed what many people were speculating at a Comic Con panel for all things Halo. Will update with more information as it becomes available.

Edit: More infor just released that explains his character more. Aparently he is a famous Manhunter which makes sense why ONI is using him to find Master Chief

Good hopefully it means dual campaigns like in Halo 2.

Yes he is the Spartan abovie Chief, this is what he looks like outside of the suit. The actor below is doing the voicework, will be in the Nighfall movie, and will have his face in the game

Also great to see a Black protagonist in a Video Game it's very rare.

Yeah, this could be really cool and I like how 343i seem to want to expand the Halo universe outside of Master Chief.
