DVDs are still selling more than Blu-rays and the industry is quickly moving from physical to digital medium. MS was right to skip BR when they made X360. Back then, it wasn't worth the cost and it never caught on like BRD Association wanted it to.

Can you guys please vote on my idea on Xbox user voice page? It asks MS to develop a Futsal (Hall football/soccer)on X1.

The reason DVD's sell OK still is related to the fact that many people still have sub 1080p tvs.  I have made this point in a few other threads too, that when everyone is talking up the need for 1080p games, they discount the fact that a lot of people have tvs that will never support the medium anyway. So, when the sales pitch is "1080p is great", most people don't care or don't know the difference.  Of course, the more avid gamers do care.

The PS4 will continue to outsell the XB1 until the price of the XB1 is $50-100 cheaper.  Then, the "1080p is great" sales pitch is moot.  It's back to buying the cheapest console to play games.  That's what kept M$ in the game last gen, the price.

One more added thought about DVD's.  Seeing as how almost every bluray now comes with the DVD, it gets real hard for the Bluray to outsell the DVD.

It is near the end of the end....
