I haven't updated this thing for a while...

Update :

Both PS4 and XBO slowed down after Destiny release.  WiiU is not going down anymore (VERY SLIGHTLY trending up). Vita is trending up thanks to Playstation TV release in the west. New 3DS is setting Amazon Japan on fire leading the system to rank second.

Some software "predictions" to test the data in the OP (graphs have been updated by the way) :

- Sunset Overdrive will sell less than Forza Horizon 2 and very low overall (WW).

- Bayonetta 2 will sell less than Hyrule Warriors (WW) but more than Sunset Overdrive.

- Assassin's Creed will sell better than COD (WW on PS4). This one sounds bold ...

If you have other "predictions" to make based on this data, feel free to share. We will see if those graphs have any predictive value...

Hey Symbios, I thought you'd abandoned this thread.  Glad to see I was wrong!

If you have the time to do it, it would be interesting to see another "Amazon trends Vs actual sales" chart like you did in this post.

I remember being surprised by how well the two sets correlated and you've apparently collected a lot more data since then - I'd love to see if it still holds up.

I was thinking about doing it closer to the end of the year. It will be easier to draw some conclusions from it when we'll have VGC sale data for the games releasing late (Assassin's Creed, COD, Smash Bros WiiU etc...).

Glad to see there is still at least one guy keeping an eye on this thread ;)

Hello, this thing hasn't been updated in a long time...

As this was a lot of work, I am not tracking as many things as before. Game are not tracked anymore and I am only tracking HW on a weekly basis.

The good news is that I have been doing this for a year now so I will be able to show YOY comparisons starting next week.
