Elaborate on how you came to that conclusion. Let me guess. Is it because I don't like your favorite kind of games? I think you're trying way to hard to insult me.

There is no reasoning in your OP. You say the games are mediocre because they have Mario and Zelda in them...

That's certainly not reason enough to call those games mediocre. They're not your cup of tea. Fine. But to call them mediocre is rather ignorant. Seems to me like the most important aspect of a game, for you, is the coating. You make no mention of the gameplay mechanics or game design. Your OP is weak and comes off as if written by a child. Hence why I said that.

He never actually said he liked mario and friends, he said those games got universal acclaim (which they did).  You really need to take more time to read these posts (you might actually learn something).

He shouldn't have attacked you, there is no need for that.

The problem, is that you never made it clear in your OP that this thread is about you not liking Nintendo for making mario and friend copies.  And even if we were to come to that conclusion, you didn't give any sound arguments as to why.  No description, no pictures, no videos....nothing.  Just, these are all copies because I said so.  And that is the biggest issue people are having with this thread.  Most of the time, you are just cherry picking people's responses and then claiming that you meant something besides what you actually said.  If you are trolling, then I question why you have spent so much time on this thread.  If you are not trolling, then I suggest you come up with more sound arguments.

So to sum things up, you don't like nintendo because they make mario games which you don't like for no apparent reason.

Do you complain about S-E not creating enough new IPs as well? I would hope so. Because the last decade, they've relied almost exclusively on the Final Fantasy brand name to sell anything. And you love those games... Go figure.

I question the reason for you to make this thread. Your reasoning and criticism are utterly poor, and from the way you've typed it all, you clearly don't have an open door for any kind of discussion.  And now you're saying it doesn't matter what reasoning you could write... So... Why did it matter enough for you to make this weak thread in the first place?

I gave my reasons lol. There is to many damn Marios and Zelda. I want new IPs. Mario does not appeal to me anymore like it did years ago. With age to me the wow factor of Mario drops. Again its me, others have different taste.

Your criticism has no basis in reality and is frankly insulting with its sheer hypocrisy.  You are currently playing FF 14, a franchise which reuses character types/motivation, attacks, mythos, plots and battle mechanics.  You are also playing Metal Gear 4 with number 5 on the way.  Tales of Xillia of which there is a sequel, with the three Tales games I played they rehashed the political disorder, religious lies, character tropes and attacks.

To extend your "logic".  Starbucks should close up shop, there are too many, and they keep providing everyone with the same coffee.  They should ditch that and become a provider of gelato or maybe furniture.

Chefs should all quit and become gardeners, all the doctors that successfully saw my family through medical issues should ditch that and become a touring circus because how dare anyone provide anything of consistency.

Jane Austen Shakespeare and all those authors should have stopped at one book.  Same with comics Superman, Spiderman etc.
