Forums - Sony Discussion - Can TLOU RE open with over 500k? Predict first week sales.

I say between 400-600,000 easily. It's number 1 on Amazon now.

Definitely! 8 million PS4 owners including myself have no big budget exclusives to play right now. It will be jumped on.

Sadly it will sell 1/4 million the first month, possibly reaching 1 or 2 millions lifetime. I have nothing against this game, but I really miss the days when backwards compatibility were a must in every decent machine.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Come join The 2018 Obscure Game Monthly Review Thread.

It could sell 1M LFT, is there a bundle ?

Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:

As one of those 8 million, Second Son is big budget and doing the job just fine for me. :)

OT: I'd say anywhere between 500 and 600K is a reasonable guess. Should hit a comfortable 3 million, at least, in the end.

...how many times have you played it through that you're still going?

Only one, haven't played the "inFAMOUS" side yet. Still doesn't negate its existence, though, and it most definitely shouldn't invalidate titles like WATCH_DOGS.

Of course it doesn't.  But I'd have thought it was pretty clear I was saying there have been no recently launched titles fitting the description, and there haven't.

March seems pretty recent, but I guess that's just me. Besides, you spoke for 8 million PS4 owners, not just yourself. ;)

I don't think we're going to come to agreement on this! There isn't much to play on the console if indies aren't your thing - therefore a game that is known to be brilliant and fully remastered to be even better is likely to sell well - thats all I was saying.

For the most, I agree with this, but then that's the case for both the X1 and PS4 right now. The gen is young (at least for those two), so the lack of software is expected.

Absolutely.  Sales aside, from a gaming perspective they both have a lot to live up to this September-December.

It's more than just a release, 60 fps and the story dlc makes it more than worth it.

According to a report, there is 30% of gamers on PS4 who never played The Last Of Us, so that makes 2,4M potential buyers(potential because not everyone will want to discover this game), not including those who want to rebuy it.

So my 1M prediction is the least to expect
