Yeah, WD would have been a complete disaster if it didn't sell as much as it did.
spurgeonryan said: The Japan sales thread blew up this week. Easily doubling or tripling last weeks. Vgchartz weekly numbers exploded! More than usual. Mario kart broke a million in sales and pushed the Wii U close to 200,000 units for the week. It caused vgchart sales threads chaos and is bound to keep things interesting next week as well even with E3.
Can any sales news beat the greatness that was Wii U's first true sales explosion? |
Watchdogs is already a bigger news story. Next up, Destiny.
Definitely great numbers but im sceptical..
I'm sure that Destiny will sell about the same numbers first week like watch dogs but 1,1 million in 3 days is impressive. (watch dogs had 3 more days to sell 0,7 million units more on its strongest platform..)
Playing: F1 2016 (PC), Uncharted: The Lost Legacy (PS4)
Watching: Hajime no Ippo, Attack on Titan (4th time)
Upcoming purchases in October:
-TBD

The problem with percentages is that they aren't representative of actual increase.

They are when it means that a console goes from 31k to 187k in two days.

WiiU week on week increase 155k.
PS4 week on week increase 78k.
OK, so MK8 launched with a HW bundle plus free digital game. Props to Nintendo for finally pushing the game.
