Forums - Gaming Discussion - Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes impressions

So, I have been playing this game for the past week.

I know this game got a lot of critisism because the main mission is short (and can be done in less than 10 minutes); but I'm REALLY enjoying it and believe that people should give it a try it before to judge it.

So many things to do:

- Try to finish all missions without killing anyone

- Going for the S Rank in all missions

- Unlock the 2 extra missions (Déjà Vu and Jamais Vu)

- Try to find all collectibles, weapons etc...

- Complete all challenges...

Way more than 50 hours of gameplay for 29$...

And then as it is an open world, the replayability of each mission is almost infinite as you have SO many angles/options to go with...

I believe that Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain is going to be an awesome game based on what I'm playing right now.

Is it worth $30? I played it and finished it (not to that extent cause I don't care enough to get all the optional things) so I am curious

To me it does yes. B

ut I believe that you need to care about all the optinnal things + collectible (like me); if not, I do not believe so because you will be done after few hours (or minutes depending on the difficulty and if you do it by just running without exploring).

With all the optional stuff included I would say it's worth the $30. I've spent about 16 hours or so and have about 70% completion, looking forward to the Phantom Pain!

sorry but that can be said about any short game.

Take Call of Duty's singleplayer

- Complete campaign on Normal
- Complete campaign on Veteran
- Get all collectables
- Complete campaign without laying down
- Complete campaign without firing a shot
- Do all level specific achievements/trophies

etc.

But you're a Kojima fanboy, so your opinion doesn't matter here ;)

Are you serious?

I mostly enjoyed it personally. Though I honestly wasn't blown away.

That ending sequence though, I said damn. Make me excited for The Phantom Pain, story has the potential to be incredible as long as Kojima doesn't go too crazy.

Yes that's true, for the achievements part at least and the collectible but I find it way more appealing.

I would disagree with the not laying down/fire a shot tho :)

But the main point is regarding the price tag. I mean yah for COD you could spend hours trying to get all achievements or try finish the game without fire a shot (?). I believe that you can spend almost the SAME amount of time to complete everything in MG:GZ for 29$ only vs a full priced game.

I understand that you need to like collectible and achievements for that but if you do so, this game is very good deal imo.
