Wow, MLB: The Show jumped to over 100K for its final week. I think PS4 will get a small boost from that game, 5-10K perhaps. Rather impressed really considering PS3 version has been out a month already. Looks like PS4 version will outsell PS3 version in its first week. Shows how much of the core audience moves to the new gen so quickly. Seems like 20% of the gamers buy 80% of the games.

That's pretty usual in all businesses.

Still surprised by the TESO sales (assuming these are correct). The X1 isn't a particularly MMO friendly system :/

I suppose TES is more associated with Xbox than PS, as well as the PS4 already having quite a few (arguably better) MMO's available.

well Elder Scrolls III was an Xbox exclusive, Elder Scrolls IV was released a year earlier on Xbox and Elder Scrolls V performed and sold better on Xbox, it must just have a bigger dedicated fanbase on Xbox compared to Playstation.

PC says hi.

Watch Dogs PS4 is beasting, exactly 3 times more than Watch Dogs One !

2.7 is not exactly 3.0

They will open with quite similar numbers I think in the US.  Ratio in line with the respective userbases.

He is referring to the increase for this week. PS4 version says 21k increase and XBO version says 7k.

Edit: Scratch that, I see what you meant.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

Watch Dogs will be big. No doubts about it.

already at 750k pre-orders in the usa alone. 37k this week, 21k from the PS4 version alone. if watch dogs continues to have the exact same pre-orders for the next 3 weeks it will pretty much double titanfall pre-orders (XB1) and be more than 2.5 times the pre-orders of infamous. i know VGC pre-order numbers arent accurate but if they give any indication of how preorders are, then this will easily be the biggest opening of the year and crush any previous release so far this year.

If the game delivers. I do think it's going to be a 10M LT.

Prepare for the reality that will be disappointment on all of the games releasing in the next 4 weeks....

Do you mean gameplay wise and low Meta scores?

Because Watchdogs seems to going for 1.5 million launch worldwide and 2 million within 2 weeks.   Good numbers for a new IP that isnt being given away for free

Awww.. look at that sly little dig there. lol

This has been hyped to the heavens for the last two years.  It has a massive budget behind it and a huge advertising push will come.  I doubt it will make much of a profit if any.    Meta will disappoint too I am guessing.

And lastly... now we believe the pre order charts again?  My head is spinning.

Not really.  I am assuming they are way overtracked and I am giving a conservative number. At the current pace it should reach close to 1 million in the US alone. Take 80% and add worldwide and it should be close to 1.5 assuming VG is overtracking it bad and doesn't have a significant uptick in preorders the next few weeks.

Anyone else see that Tales of Xillia jump?

i think thats a bit of a stretch. maybe if it wasnt delayed it could have achieved it.

Installed base of PS4/Xbone is much larger now.

This can't be. Someone told me Nintendo people don't preorder that much.
