I know this probably been asked before but why doesnt the ps4 notify you when your friends sign online but it notifies when they join a party????that is sooo ass backwards to me ...and I why can't i create folders for my games and apps scrolling endlessly to the right is annoying ....just some minor annoyances i have with my ps4

There's a lot of simple little things the PS4 should do, but doesn't as of yet.

Hopefully the next big update adds some of the more requested, but simple, features people have been asking for since launch.

but why? some of those features were available on ps3 and 360 last gen...why would they take it out and then take so long to add it back? especially with how well its selling

I don't think anyone has a solid idea other than they've gotten complacent. Maybe because the system is selling so well without them, they don't feel the urgency to add features that should have been there since the launch window.

Please stop with the complacent line. Is MS complacent? Is Nintendo Complacent? Nope
Each Company adds the features they consider most important/requested and put other stuff on the back burner.

Why would I randomly bring up Microsoft or Nintendo when they weren't part of the original discussion?

As for putting them on the back burner, it's been 2+ years and they still haven't added simple features that were on their last generation console. Features that people have requested since launch. I personally don't care that much since I just want to play games, but that doesn't mean I'll give them a pass for it either.

Well the usual procedure is to call Sony complacent in order to make one of the aforementioned companies look better. Also I actually do believe the "OS team" is hard at work adding new features (again whatever the company deems most beneficial) and improving the existing OS.
Obviously they can´t make everyone happy (look at feature request posts) and those "most requested features" on websites such as this may actually be the wishes of a vocal minority.

Looking at the Oculus Rift price ($599) and HTC Vice price ($799) Sony would be insane to not have PC support for PSVR.
