Forums - Gaming Discussion - Do you care about superhero games?

You know, those games that are sort of dubious. Sometimes absolute crap (Superman 64), and sometimes pretty darn good. (Arkham City) Do you play superhero games often? I'm only genuinely interested in the Spider-Man games. Swinging around is just fun to me and I liked Web Of Shadows a lot. Also, I hate spiders, so that's odd. I've heard positive things about superhero games like Deadpool though I've never played it. And yeah, I still don't get what Activision's problem with superhero games is, but that might just be me.

I love'em. Well, when done right that is! Not every super hero game has been good of course.

Only the Batman Arkham ones. The others just feel so low budget and crappy. I tried to play that amazing spiderman game on my PC recently...Really it feels like a PS2 game lol

I like open world games that are not held back by boring realism. That's why it will always be impossible for GTA to be better than Infamous or SRIV.

I absolutely don't care for DC or Marvel heroes though.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

I don't think I had ever played a Superhero game before Arkham city and I only picked the game up because it was a bargain.

Well, that changed everything. Playing the tough guy was a well appreciated change for once, even though I don't consider Batman to be a real Superhero, since he doesn't have any supernatural abilities.

Bought all of the Spider-Man games of the 7th gen, Marvel vs Capcom, the first Ultimate Alliance, Batman Vengeance, Batman Begins, all of the Arkham games, X-Men Origins Wolverine, that X-Men Demension fighting game, the EA Marvel Imperfects game, Saints Row 4, 2/3 of the inFamous games, WWE 2K14, and a shit ton os Super Mario games. I'd say yeah.

Yes i care, i shall be picking up Amazing Spiderman 2 for my Wii U next week. The Arkham games are great also.

I mostly enjoy them. Usually not movie games but Batman and the Lego superhero games are so much fun.

If I can count inFAMOUS, yes. Otherwise, not so much.

Spiderman 2 for the PS2 was at the time, the best movie tie-in game I had ever seen developed. Then I played Ultimate Spiderman for Xbox and it was really good. But since then it's all been mostly downhill. The Amazing Spiderman game was just a step back.

Infamous Second Son should be the minimum template for a game like that from this point forward. I'm not saying Infamous is by any means perfect, but it is very fun.
