I never managed to get into Dragon Age, no matter how many times I tried.

What is happening inside bioware, this seems like several generations ahead of the previous DA games in evey aspect. The world and atmosphere are absolutely amazing. Hopefully the story and narrative will see similar leap. I can't wait.

They did look at Elder Scrolls and took some inspiration from it, which is great to see. I like it when game developers use each others work to help develop their own products.

Trailer has hyped me a lot. Will probably pre-order to get the pre-order stuff.

That seems to be the case, but I wouldn't say they are inspired by The Elder Scrolls. I believe they are very different, especially the combat which is the main weakness of the Elder Scrolls imo.

Anyways, DA franchise has a great potential, hopefully BW will deliver a complete package this time.

Well you take the good, and discard the crap. I meant they were inspired by the expansive openness of Elder Scrolls, not the gameplay. If DA ever moved towards TES gameplay I'd drop the series like a hot coal. I like the idea of being able to ride / walk throughout the world with quick travel as an option, rather than the area transitions of the past DA games, so I hope Bioware have been able to implement that from TES. If as they say one free-roaming area in DA:I is a big as the entireity of Kirkwall and surrounding lands from DA2 then that would be a great halfway house with the only area transitions when you're travelling between distant locations. Semi open world I guess.

The Witcher games can be hard to jump into cold if you are not in the right mood, and the first game has serious pacing issues. But at least they have interesting characters and setting. Dragon Age is just so boring.

On a side note they really need someone in the PR team that can take a decent screenshot...

I mean if you are going to take the time to use a free camera to frame a screenshot, why would you choose one that  has a character's hand stuck in a rock? How many PR guys must have looked over this screenshot and they decided that was a good choice?

Tho I guess Bioware always sucked at screenshots so this shouldn't really surprise me

at least DA: I looks a hell of a lot better technically.

God, those screens are garbage lol.

I do like the characters and story in the Witcher, but the gameplay, while conceptually good, seems poorly executed to me. Was never able to finish the second one because of it, though Wild Hunt does look promising. I've never even played a DA game but inquisition looks great so far.
