Well my view of better is defined by more AAA system sellers.

Killer Instinct (AAA game released digitally), Forza 5, Dead Rising 3, Plants VS Zombies GW (timed at the moment), Titanfall > Killzone SF and Infamous

That is what I believe and I stand by my points.

KI is no more AAA than Resogun, Warframe, War Thunder, and Blacklight

PVZ is not either for that matter. If you are going to throw KI and PVZ then we get Dynasty Warriors 8 and Bound By Flame.

PVZ is debatable (and temporary) but sure dynasty warriors can count. I look forward to it in your lists. Bound by flame isn't out yet. Can't speak for War frame but can't say i have seen the forums abuzz about this game. Blacklight has a meta of 58.....notice all the games I listed have at least a 70 meta?

As for Killer Instinct, the only similarity with Resogun is its digital release. One is a indie and the other is a AAA game, like any other fighting game release. Indie games are bite sized games that are forgettable within the year, KI is highly accessable and will evolve/grow over the entire generation.

Warhawk, Wipeout HD Fury......Sony invented this, not MS. AAA games released purely digitally. Comparing those to indie games is extremely ignorant, especially in these times of increased digital relevancy.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

Killer Instinct will go down hill as soon as a proper fighter comes out. KI is not very good compared to Blazblue, SF, Tekken. etc.

Also Resogun is not an indie......

Resogun is not an indie......

KI is solid on gameplay but lacking in content, hence its low 70's meta. That has allready been remedied. And with its free barrier, it will remain at the forefront of adopted X1 games for years. My point stands

https://www.google.ca/?gws_rd=cr&ei=hJdVU__TOsSi2QWS6oCABA#q=resogun+indie

First I have heard someone say what you said. Seems many disagree. Now do you have an actual response to my point?

I am not saying KI is a bad fighter. I am just saying it has nothing on SF, Tekken, or Blazblue

You seriously linked to google? Resogun is from a private company and endorsed by Sony directly. It is no more an Indie than the Resistance series

It is kinda the same thing as people saying Child of Light is an Indie even though it is being made and published directly by Ubisoft.

Yes it is debatable for Kratos, not for Nathan. His last game was less than stellar.

Regarding the others it is very particular for each case. Killzone was never really popular so we can say the Helghast are "iconic". You have a point with Ratchet and Clank in a way, so I give you that. Their last games sunk their populairty though. Sly is anything but popular, he is a cool character but he isn't "iconic". They are getting a movie though but damn it looks horrible.

I do agree with the last part. They needed more, they needed the truly "iconic" stars. Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, etc. Specially Crash Bandicoot. His lack of presence in the game was unexcusable.

So the quality of the character is determined by the most recent game he's in? Like if we look at Mario after Mario Party comes out we can say he's not iconic because Mario Party was less than stellar? Lol, that is just ridiculous.

Like I said, if they had only characters in mega-popular franchises they wouldn't have enough for a big fighting game. So, just like Nintendo they populate it with less popular characters that are still very recognizable by the respective fanbases. (for example, I had no idea who Ness or the Pikmin dude etc. were when I first played Smash).

No, the quality is determined by their popularity and God of War Ascension showed that Kratos isn't as popular as he used to be. The same can be applied to Ratchet and Clank. Sly was never popular to begin with.

Mario games are affected by it too. Super Mario 3D World is the worst selling 3D mario of all time. That means that Mario is losing popularity. the thing is Mario had 30 years to build it's popularity and "iconic" status. Characters like Ratchet or Kratos still have ways to go in that regard so it's hard to call them "iconic". They can be considered "iconic" but they could have used other characters like Spyro or Crash as they are way more "iconic".

I am not talking about filling the game with big names but they could have selected better characters to make the roster. Spyro and Crash are way more suited to represent the Playstation brand than the poor choices that where chosen in the end.

Sly 1 and 2 put together is around 3 million sales. I think you are looking for Sly is not "extremely popular" I know quite a few people who loved Sly and were happy to see him in the game

I don't see what non-Sony owned multiplats have to do with KI being a positive AAA game for the Xbox One......

Yes google......the #1 search engine on the planet, where it literally shows prominent gaming sites referring to the game and developer as indie. Sorry buddy. No shame in being a indie title, and by comparing that to resistance, makes me wonder if you even know what a AAA game is.

Are you kidding me? Resistance 1 and 2 were amazing games....

Resogun is from a PRIVATE company that Sony published.

Just like Resistance is from a PRIVATE company that Sony Published.

Under your defintion of Indie Killer Instinct is an Indie because it was published by Microsoft....

lol......AAA is defined by budget. Resogun and Resistance couldn't be more different in that regard. Resogun is a indie title......and the entire industry thinks so too. MS will be investing time and money for years into KI.

You are thinking of "1st party studio". Not the same at all. Now please stop.
