I like many others in the NPD prediction thread predicted the X1 to beat the PS4 in March due to Titanfall and price adjustments in retail. For example here was my prediction (now very wrong).

[XBO] 380K
[PS4] 350K
[WIIU] 95K
[PS3] 110K
[360] 130K
[3DS] 150K
[PSV] 50K

 

But then something odd happened and VGC actually overtracked the X1.

XB1: 258K/4 February
64.5k a week
XB1: 311,00/5 March
62.2k a week

Did Titanfall and bundling and price adjustments help?

PS4 for comparison

PS4: 280k/4 February

70k a week

PS4: ~371k/5 March

74.2k a week

I think it did just not to the extent people were thinking/hoping for. Specially since you can get the game on PC/360. It makes sense why x1 didnt sell super crazy high but the sales were still pretty awesome

So they bust out Titanfall, lower the price with a kickass bundle and then sell less per week than the month before?
Something's not right here.

My theory: Titanfall bundle pre-orders boosted Xone first week and then the sales fell hard to the february levels.(40~50k week)

Maybe because it was locked. Anyway, before pricecuts i made a thread stating that i talked to an MS rep and he told me MS werent happy with XB1 performance and were spending lots of money trying to generate sales. Mods locked it because xb fans cried bullshit. Im like 5 for 5 now when talking about these thigs. Before launch i said ps4 has more systems and better sales than xb1 in US. In January i sai xb1 had a poor month. And in march I said titanfall bundles were made from ovestock regular sytems and ms werent happy with their performance. I know i said something else but cant remember what
