Of the 'Top 3', The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess would have won if I didn't consider it a 6th Gen game first and foremost. In the 'Crap 3', the games aren't necessarily bad games, rather these three I regretted getting the most. To me these were utterly disappointing in a variety of ways and total wastes of money.

Top 3:

Xenoblade Chronicles. MASSIVE WORLD; lots of customization; twists I really never seen coming, great voice casting; some of the best music in video games period; 100+ hours of gameplay so WELL worth the $50 I dropped when it first came out. (did not get the collectors edition sadly).

The Last Story. Smaller world than XC, but much more massive than Final Fantasy XIII; Freaking amazing battle mechanics and soundtrack; story was a bit of a retread, but voice overs and character chemistry are some of the best ever.

Ni No Kuni. What can be said about this other than you are playing a studio ghibli film. You either love it or hate it and it blew me away on every level.

Bottom 3:

The Final Fantasy XIII series takes all 3 spots. shallow typical FF characters; no customization; little to no exploration; no difficulty whatsoever; almost absolutely no immersion with the World around you (such as interacting with NPC's, going to shops, mini games, hidden items, ect). Let me put it to you this way, a blind person beat Final Fantasy XIII, I am not kidding.

The game is cheap as hell; Dark Souls cheap. It's good to try it, but you won't be amused. The only thing I liked was the Agent that accompanied Ada, and he couldn't do much.

Crysis 2 and 3 - Killed the franchise. Watered down everything that made the 1st two great. New York sucks.
Frontlines Fuel of War - Was a gift but I felt ripped off.
Darksiders - Very meh, very ugly (PC)

Overrated:
Bioshock: Good, but not phenomenal
Mass Effect: Horrible Dialogue options ruined my immersion
Fallout 3: I have never loved any of Bethesda's games. The design just feels...off.


Worst
3rd Birthday. It's atrocious how this spits on the PE franchise, even if it is a solid shooter.
Final Fantasy XIII: It tries too hard for me to hate it, but it certainly wasn't good.
Nothing else comes to mind.


Ghost Trick really deserves more attention. It clearly was trying to be an idealized form of a SNES era puzzle game, and it succeeded in so many ways it's not even funny. I really, REALLY hope we start to see more games like this, because I loved it. Easy game of the gen for me.

I liked Xenoblade more. The only thing better about Last Story were the graphics, and that is only because the game wasn't as big as Xenoblade.
