Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Nintendo gamers are (stereotypically) the nicest gamers

Our experiences differ.

From my experience the Nintendo fanbase is by far the nicest.

I can immediately think of 2 Nintendo fans that don't fall in that category, but yeah most Nintendo fans seem pretty reasonable and not too serious about all of this.

Seriously, though, I'm gonna disagree with this. I think it's more people personifying the Nintendo image as a typical fan. I've seen people do this with Disney, one of the most cut-throat corporations in existence, where they view the company as the incarnation of Mickey Mouse. Really, does that guy yelling about boycotting Ubisoft remind you of a jolly, happy-go-lucky plumber?

We've had tons of Nintendo fans get banned here and still some of the most aggressive members are on the Nintendo side of the field. Nintendo threads are dog-eat-dog battlegrounds, filled to the brim with the remains of the slow and the unlucky. In my experience, there really isn't much difference, as each faction boasts plenty of good and bad.

Also, MISTER Kahn deleted my signature minutes after I said something good about EA. Coincidence? You tell me.

Overall, I'd say this is true. You get a few bad eggs here and there, and I could name some on this forum but I won't, but for the most part hostility from brand religiosity comes least from Nintendo. It's not unheard of, just the least common.

For well-documented reasons, Nintendo console owners are more likely to own multiple consoles. Therefore they are more likely to have broader tastes in games than those who game exclusively on one console.

So it's not so much that Nintendo gamers are more pleasant as it is multi-console owners are more pleasant, and Nintendo console owners are more likely to be multi-console owners.

I'm afraid that information is top secret.  Please move along in an orderly fashion.

I do agree but some go a bit over board

Well, most of us doesn't have to deal with the stress of hearing constants swear words about our moms on online multiplayer games, so we have this going for us, wich is nice.

"Hardware design isn’t about making the most powerful thing you can.
Today most hardware design is left to other companies, but when you make hardware without taking into account the needs of the eventual software developers, you end up with bloated hardware full of pointless excess. From the outset one must consider design from both a hardware and software perspective."
